From day one you will be on a stellar career trajectory with no limits to what you can achieve, and the programme empowers you to develop the essential skills needed to excel in the fast-paced construction industry.<\/p>\n<p>Since launching in 2009, we have successfully trained 360+ graduates, many of whom have forged long-lasting careers with us. Our comprehensive eighteen-month programme is tailored to meet real-world demands, featuring courses led by both external and internal subject matter experts in a focused learning environment.<\/p>\n<p>Graduates on our programme can anticipate working alongside a diverse and supportive team, accessing state-of-the-art training and masterclasses, and gaining international experience at the leading edge of industry.<\/p>\n<p>An important aspect of the development programme is the completion of a group research project. Graduates are split into small groups of four or five and assigned a strategic business project to research and present their findings to Senior Management. All topics are chosen by Senior Management and are relevant to Mercury&#8217;s business.<\/p>\n<p>We have opportunities\u00a0for Graduates in Ireland, U.K and Europe.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Selection Criteria \/ Person Specification:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The ideal candidate will have a Level 8 Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. They must be a self- starter with the initiative and skills to manage his\/her workload to meet necessary deadlines.\u00a0 Excellent time management, prioritising and communications skills are essential.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Role and Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Co-ordinating with site teams<\/li>\n<li>Attend daily\/ weekly meetings as required<\/li>\n<li>Prepare reports\/presentations as required<\/li>\n<li>Assisting Intermediate and Senior Engineers<\/li>\n<li>Ensure design complies with project specifications<\/li>\n<li>Prepare technical submittals in accordance with project specifications and procurement schedule<\/li>\n<li>Ensure materials \/ plant ordered are approved and in compliance with specification.<\/li>\n<li>Work with BIM to develop construction plan and work packaging<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Level 8 bachelor\u2019s degree in engineering<\/li>\n<li>Proven record of co-ordinating on projects<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD, MS Project<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work well under pressure and within a strict deadline environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Desirable<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of 1 years as a Mechanical Engineer<\/li>\n<li>A construction background<\/li>\n<li>BIM Knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Trade experience is desirable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We\u2019re seeking the leaders of tomorrow to join us on our Graduate Programme &#8211; those who are willing to share our values, live our culture and deliver beyond expectations.
