We specialise in healthcare, data centres, commercial, hospitality, education and civic sectors for public and private clients.<\/p>\n<p>This is role will allow you to become involved in the delivery of national and international construction projects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ready to push the limits of what\u2019s possible?<\/strong>\u00a0<em>*\u202f*<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties of the Associate Director role include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Effectively control the commercial, managerial, and technical aspects of projects and areas of the business for which you are responsible.<\/li>\n<li>Sourcing opportunities and preparing fee proposals for submission to client, including resources and programme.<\/li>\n<li>Developing relationships with new clients and enhancing business relationships with existing clients.<\/li>\n<li>Leading a team of engineers and technicians designing building infrastructure schemes.<\/li>\n<li>Developing the skills of employees within the team, through mentoring and training; ensuring they have clear direction on how to progress their careers.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring the AECOM principles on project delivery are conducted in line with company policy, ensuring quality on all aspect of project delivery.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Specific Requirements;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent knowledge of design in Reinforced Concrete and Structural Steelwork.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent understanding on the application of the current Eurocodes relating to structural design.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in the assessment of existing structures and their justification, as well as new build designs.<\/li>\n<li>The ability to identify, assess and mitigate risks, relating to both Health &amp; Safety, design and the construction of buildings.<\/li>\n<li>The ability to effectively communicate and promote your message across the team, senior management and represent AECOM professionally to clients and external bodies.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to accurately check and verify work, ensuring that it is carried out to the appropriate technical standard and managed to programme and budget constraints.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ready to push the limits of what\u2019s possible?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline<\/li>\n<li>Chartered Engineer (CEng)<\/li>\n<li>Member of either the Institution of Structural Engineers (MIStructE) and\/or the Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desirable Attributes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A solid track record of working on and successfully delivered large, diverse, complex projects, where you acted as project leader for the structures discipline.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge and experience of the local Glasgow and Scottish construction industry marketplace.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AECOM is recruiting an\u00a0Associate Structural Director\u00a0to join our Glasgow office.
