We also provide local services to customers and technical leadership to the rest of the Group in these sectors.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the team<\/strong><br \/>\nThe MEP Team in Ireland collaborates on a wide variety of projects in the Built Environment, Transport, Water and Advisory sectors across our three offices, in Belfast, Dublin and Cork. There are also close links with our sister offices all over the UK.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Overview of the role<\/strong><br \/>\nAs a Senior Mechanical Engineer, your role will include assessing and understanding project requirements, undertaking mechanical design across a number of disciplines and agreeing timescales and specifications with design teams, clients and managers. Leading and directing junior staff, you will be actively involved in the preparation of documents, reports and health and safety risk assessments as well as interpreting commercial and\/or contractual aspects of correspondence with or between fellow professionals on multidisciplinary projects.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Key responsibilities and duties include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Managing the delivery of assigned the mechanical and building services elements of multi-disciplinary projects across a range of sectors including, Built Environment, Water, Transportations and Advisory<\/li>\n<li>Working and liaising with associated engineering disciplines as part of delivering projects<\/li>\n<li>Dealing with a and management of internal and external stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Carrying out design and calculation work using relevant industry software (IES, Revit etc)<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrating technical expertise, providing in depth knowledge whilst proactively coaching and developing more junior team members<\/li>\n<li>Developing, maintaining and monitoring programmes for scheduling and reporting on deliverables across specific projects<\/li>\n<li>Maximising profitability of projects, monitoring against budget, reacting and anticipating potential problems and communicating in line with client expectations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Areas of expertise should include some or all of the below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mechanical building services design with experience in a number of the following areas:\n<ul>\n<li>Healthcare<\/li>\n<li>Education<\/li>\n<li>Industrial\/pharma<\/li>\n<li>Food Processing<\/li>\n<li>Transportation<\/li>\n<li>Water\/Wastewater<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Steam, Condensate and associated equipment<\/li>\n<li>Low Pressure \/ Low Temperature Hot Water<\/li>\n<li>Chilled Water and associated equipment<\/li>\n<li>Domestic hot and cold water systems for both commercial and industrial projects<\/li>\n<li>Public health systems<\/li>\n<li>Vacuum systems and associated equipment<\/li>\n<li>Fuel gas systems<\/li>\n<li>Fuel oil systems<\/li>\n<li>Process\/plant water<\/li>\n<li>Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water<\/li>\n<li>Medical gases<\/li>\n<li>Natural Ventilation systems<\/li>\n<li>HVAC systems<\/li>\n<li>Refrigeration<\/li>\n<li>Specialist extract systems<\/li>\n<li>BMS (Building Management Systems) and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems<\/li>\n<li>Instrumentation, Control and Automation systems<\/li>\n<li>Services co-ordination and integration of plant and equipment in buildings and for underground services<\/li>\n<li>BIM, AutoCAD and Revit<\/li>\n<li>Site experience an advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Candidate specification<\/strong><br \/>\nEssential:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>B.Eng \/M.Eng<\/li>\n<li>Chartered Engineer<\/li>\n<li>Have experience of leading on Mechanical services and some multi disciplinary projects<\/li>\n<li>Have experience of mentoring and leading graduate engineers<\/li>\n<li>Be enthusiastic and ambitious<\/li>\n<li>Possess excellent communication skills, including report writing and presentation<\/li>\n<li>Have the ability to lead electrical elements of one large project or a portfolio of smaller projects<\/li>\n<li>Have some experience of managing client relationships and expectations as there will be a requirement to attend Client Facing meetings via Team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Buildings Unit (BLD) has a major presence in Mott MacDonald&#8217;s regional offices throughout the UK and mainland Europe, providing a wide range of diverse and transferable cross-sector skills across&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":9475,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_promoted":"","_company_name":"Mott MacDonald","_job_zagraniczne":"1","_company_website":"","_company_video":"","_remote_position":0,"_hide_expiration":"0","_job_salary":"","_job_salary_currency":"","_job_salary_unit":""},"job-categories":[37,147],"job-types":[2],"job_listing_tag":[],"class_list":{"0":"post-7057","1":"job_listing","2":"type-job_listing","3":"status-publish","4":"hentry","5":"job_listing_category-budownictwo","6":"job_listing_category-inne-budownictwo","7":"job_listing_type-umowa-o-prace","9":"job-type-umowa-o-prace"},"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v25.5 (Yoast SEO v25.5) -
