We also provide local services to customers and technical leadership to the rest of the Group in these sectors.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the team<\/strong><br \/>\nThe MEP Team in Ireland collaborates on a wide variety of projects in the Built Environment, Transport, Water and Advisory sectors across our three offices, in Belfast, Dublin and Cork. There are also close links with our sister offices all over the UK.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Overview of the role<\/strong><br \/>\nAs Principal Electrical Engineer, your role will include assessing and understanding project requirements, undertaking electrical design across a number of disciplines and agreeing timescales and specifications with design teams, clients and managers. Leading and directing junior staff, you will be actively involved in the preparation of documents, reports and health and safety risk assessments as well as interpreting commercial and\/or contractual aspects of correspondence with or between fellow professionals on multidisciplinary projects.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key responsibilities and duties include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Managing the delivery of assigned the Electrical elements of multi-disciplinary projects across a range of sectors including, Built Environment, Water, Transportations and Advisory<br \/>\nWorking and liaising with associated engineering disciplines as part of delivering projects<\/li>\n<li>Dealing with and management of internal and external stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Carrying out design and calculation work using relevant industry software (eg Amtech, IES, Relux, Revit etc)<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrating technical expertise, providing in depth knowledge whilst proactively coaching and developing more junior team members<\/li>\n<li>Developing, maintaining and monitoring programmes for scheduling and reporting on deliverables across specific projects<\/li>\n<li>Maximising profitability of projects, monitoring against budget, reacting and anticipating potential problems and communicating in line with client expectations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Areas of expertise should include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Electrical building services design with experience in a number of the following areas:\n<ul>\n<li>Health care<\/li>\n<li>Education<\/li>\n<li>Industrial\/pharma<\/li>\n<li>Water\/Wastewater<\/li>\n<li>Food Processing<\/li>\n<li>Transportation<\/li>\n<li>Data Centres<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Lighting and Emergency Lighting for buildings (Commercial and Industrial). Familiar with electrical and lighting design packages including Trimble (Amtech), Relux, Dialux<\/li>\n<li>External Lighting, including roads\/highways<\/li>\n<li>General Power and Services, including Fire Detection and Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, Power and Data<\/li>\n<li>MV (Medium Voltage) switchgear and transformers<\/li>\n<li>LV (Low Voltage) Distribution and MCC\u2019s (Motor Control Centres) including wiring schematics, SLD\u2019s<\/li>\n<li>Transformers at 20kV\/10kV to 400V<\/li>\n<li>3 phase and single phase systems<\/li>\n<li>BMS (Building Management Systems) and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems<\/li>\n<li>Instrumentation, Control and Automation systems<\/li>\n<li>BIM, AutoCAD and Revit<\/li>\n<li>Site experience an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Services co-ordination in buildings and for underground services<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Candidate specification<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Essential:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>B.Eng \/M.Eng<\/li>\n<li>Chartered Engineer<\/li>\n<li>Have experience of leading on Electrical services and some multi disciplinary projects,<\/li>\n<li>Have experience of mentoring and leading graduate engineers<\/li>\n<li>Be enthusiastic and ambitious<\/li>\n<li>Possess excellent communication skills, including report writing and presentation<\/li>\n<li>Have the ability to lead electrical elements of one large project or a portfolio of smaller projects<\/li>\n<li>Have some experience of managing client relationships and expectations as there will be a requirement to attend Client Facing meetings via Teams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Buildings Unit (BLD) has a major presence in Mott MacDonald&#8217;s regional offices throughout the UK and mainland Europe, providing a wide range of diverse and transferable cross-sector skills across&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":9475,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_promoted":"","_company_name":"Mott MacDonald","_job_zagraniczne":"1","_company_website":"","_company_video":"","_remote_position":0,"_hide_expiration":"0","_job_salary":"","_job_salary_currency":"","_job_salary_unit":""},"job-categories":[35,586,37,147],"job-types":[2],"job_listing_tag":[],"class_list":{"0":"post-7058","1":"job_listing","2":"type-job_listing","3":"status-publish","4":"hentry","5":"job_listing_category-energetyka","6":"job_listing_category-sieci-przesylowe","7":"job_listing_category-budownictwo","8":"job_listing_category-inne-budownictwo","9":"job_listing_type-umowa-o-prace","11":"job-type-umowa-o-prace"},"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v25.5 (Yoast SEO v25.5) -
