Planning Work Placement \u2013 Gain Practical Planning Experience with Dornan<\/strong><\/p>\n

Take the first step in your construction planning career with Dornan\u2019s Planning Work Placement Programme<\/strong>. As a Planning Student<\/strong>, you will receive hands-on training under the guidance of a Senior Planner<\/strong>, working on real, live construction projects.<\/p>\n

Our curated internship is designed to provide you with practical experience in project planning and controls<\/strong>, helping you reach your full potential in the role.<\/p>\n

    Your Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

    As part of the planning team, you will support with:<\/p>\n

    • \n

      Setting up Project Control Systems<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

        \n
      • \n

        Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Progress Measurement System (PMS)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Project Schedules, S-Curves & Manpower Histograms<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Cost-loading and baselining schedules<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Implementing and maintaining these systems throughout the project<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Progress tracking of direct and subcontracted works using Dornan\u2019s custom PMS<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Monitoring labour hours and analysing productivity<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Updating project schedules using Primavera P6<\/strong> or ASTA Powerproject<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Tracking system turnover and deliverables<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Identifying delays and assisting with client notifications<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
