Winthrop Technologies is a dedicated data centre delivery partner providing turnkey solutions to our clients, headquartered in Dublin and delivering throughout Europe.We are currently seeking an experienced\u00a0Quantity Surveyor\u00a0<\/strong>to join our expanding team in\u00a0Finland<\/strong>.\u00a0Reporting into the Commercial Manager<\/strong>.The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all costs and value for the project (or project elements) for which they are responsible.<\/div>\n

Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n
    \n
  • Work with the senior project team to procure key subcontract packages and other critical elements of the works.<\/li>\n
  • Generating quantified work packages, ITTs & budgets from technical documents. Analysis & presentation of tender returns.<\/li>\n
  • Preparation and agreement of subcontract documents.<\/li>\n
  • Commercial management of multiple subcontract packages from order through to final account, monthly payments, variation and claims management.<\/li>\n
  • Continuous monitoring of costs and financial entitlement on the packages \/ projects under your control.<\/li>\n
  • Active engagement with stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, designers and internal team members.<\/li>\n
  • Submission of contractually compliant commercial documentation.<\/li>\n
  • Development, submission and agreement of external valuations.<\/li>\n
  • Negotiation and agreement of variations, omissions and final accounts with subcontractors and clients in a timely and professional manner.<\/li>\n
  • Regular cost \/ value and cash flow reporting.<\/li>\n
  • Pro-actively work to resolve conflicts where possible.<\/li>\n
  • Supervision and development of junior members of the commercial team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

     <\/p>\n

    Skills \/ Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Relevant degree with 5+ years\u2019 experience in a main contracting and \/ or specialist contracting environment with a particular focus on mechanical and electrical works.<\/li>\n
    • Strong technical understanding of MEP installations & processes.<\/li>\n
    • Familiarity with various methods of measurement.<\/li>\n
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong business relationships.<\/li>\n
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.<\/li>\n
    • Excellent budgeting and financial forecasting skills.<\/li>\n
    • Familiarity with Buildsoft, CostX or similar is advantageous.<\/li>\n
    • Data Centre experience is advantageous.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
