This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of the Nuclear HVAC field, delivering impactful projects for some of the industry\u2019s most prominent clients.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key responsibilities and duties include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Produce detailed design calculations to support design requirements<\/li>\n<li>Producing documentation, assessment\/condition reports, survey reports, basis of designs, procurement specifications, etc<\/li>\n<li>Production and review of detailed design calculations to support design proposals<\/li>\n<li>Production and review of detailed design drawings, layouts and schematics including heating, ventilation, LTHW, Chilled Water, specialist LEV and BMS installations using Revit (BIM) and CAD software<\/li>\n<li>Experience in the delivery of written work, e.g. functional Specifications, Basis of Design,\u00a0Equipment Specifications and Validation and Verification plans<\/li>\n<li>Producing estimates of work elements including equipment and man hour costs<\/li>\n<li>Supporting the preparation of bids and estimates<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with construction (design and management) regulations<\/li>\n<li>Conduct thorough research to ensure compliance with industry standards<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate seamlessly with other disciplines, fostering a holistic approach to project delivery<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Candidate specification<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in HVAC Design<\/li>\n<li>Skilled in Revit (BIM modelling), AutoCAD and MS Office suites+<\/li>\n<li>Experience in using design software like Carrier HAP (Hourly Analyses Program), IES VE simulation software and similar is highly valued. Also, manufacturers selection software<\/li>\n<li>Strong work ethic and positive attitude<\/li>\n<li>Effective interpersonal and organizational skills<\/li>\n<li>Initiative and self-motivation to learn and develop in the field<\/li>\n<li>Ability to collaborate across borders. Good verbal and written communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Working proficiency in English is required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nice to have:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience within a highly regulated environment is advantageous (Nuclear preferable, but will consider other relevant experience). Preferably knowledge &amp; experience in Nuclear containment ventilation design<\/li>\n<li>Familiar with industry standards, legislation, and engineering principles, ideally including knowledge of Nuclear ventilation guidelines and standards will be appreciated<\/li>\n<li>An interest in implementing automation in the design process and interest in developing the CFD models for cases in the HVAC field is highly valued<\/li>\n<li>International experience will be highly valued also<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master\u2019s (Bachelor\u2019s) degree in mechanical HVAC engineering or related field (essential)<\/li>\n<li>Registered License Engineer or working towards license registration to relevant professional body is advantageous<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Due to the sensitivity of some of our projects, candidates will be required to apply for and obtain UK Security Clearance.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Due to new project wins and continued growth, we\u2019re looking for Assistant HVAC Engineer to join our Nuclear: Defence and Civil division.
