With strong roots in the offshore oil and gas industry, we are also at the forefront of future technologies such as water treatment, ammonia storage, carbon injection, and wind energy\u2014helping to reduce CO\u2082 emissions and drive the energy transition.<\/p>\n<p>SPS is headquartered in Br\u00f8ndby, Denmark, with production sites in Kalundborg (DK), Porto do Acu (Br), Glenrothes (UK) and offices in Stavanger and Oslo (No), Rio de Janeiro ( Br), and Houston (US).\u00a0 Globally, our team includes around 1,500 dedicated professionals, contributing to NOV\u2019s workforce of approximately 34,000 employees.<br \/>\n<strong>What We Offer<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Meaningful work with impact across all project stages\u2014design, development, and delivery<\/li>\n<li>An inclusive, international culture<\/li>\n<li>Opportunities for growth\u2014technical expertise, project coordination, or mentoring paths<\/li>\n<li>Access to advanced labs, test rigs, and modern CAD\/CAE tools<\/li>\n<li>Contribution to innovation and continuous improvement initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Flexible work practices aligned with project needs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contribute to the design of flexible pipe\u00a0<strong>end-fittings<\/strong>\u00a0(concept to detailed design), including 3D modeling, 2D drawings, BoMs, and documentation<\/li>\n<li>Carry out and document\u00a0<strong>strength and integrity evaluations<\/strong>, applying both classical methods and digital tools<\/li>\n<li>Apply materials, approaches, and sealing practices that suit demanding subsea environments<\/li>\n<li>Support qualification and verification activities (FMEA, testing, FAT\/SIT) and assist with non-conformances in partnership with QA and manufacturing teams<\/li>\n<li>Provide hands-on support in Kalundborg during prototyping and production, helping ensure manufacturability and quality outcomes<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate closely with customers and suppliers to resolve technical questions and ensure compliance with standards and contract requirements<\/li>\n<li>Maintain strong configuration control, documentation, and adherence to NOV SPS standards<\/li>\n<li>Develop and apply simplified FE models to complement engineering evaluations<\/li>\n<li>Help improve calculation templates, design practices, and process efficiency<\/li>\n<li>Provide support for installation readiness and offshore\/yard interventions where relevant<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>B.Sc. or M.Sc. in\u00a0<strong>Mechanical Engineering<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Applied Mechanics\/Mathematics<\/strong>, or related fields<\/li>\n<li><strong>3+ years<\/strong>\u00a0of experience in mechanical design and\u00a0<strong>strength evaluations<\/strong>\u00a0for steel constructions or mechanical assemblies, with supporting documentation<\/li>\n<li>Experience using\u00a0<strong>3D CAD<\/strong>\u00a0(e.g., Inventor, SolidWorks, NX or similar) and\u00a0<strong>2D drafting<\/strong>\u00a0(GD&amp;T, tolerances)<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of calculation methods (elastic\/plastic, bolted joints, seals, pressure vessels) and relevant standards (ASME, ISO, DNV, API)<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills in\u00a0<strong>Danish and English<\/strong>\u00a0(written and spoken)<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, suppliers, project managers, and factory staff<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Desired Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience from\u00a0<strong>offshore\/subsea<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>oil &amp; gas<\/strong>, or\u00a0<strong>offshore wind<\/strong>\u00a0projects; flexible pipe\/end-fitting experience is a plus<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with\u00a0<strong>FEA<\/strong>\u00a0tools (ANSYS, Abaqus) and basic automation (e.g., Python, VBA)<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of subsea materials (stainless steels, alloys, coatings) and corrosion\/erosion factors<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of manufacturability, welding, machining, and assembly\/test processes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Soft Skills\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We value engineers who are thoughtful, curious, and collaborative.
