{"id":7964,"date":"2025-12-08T00:31:49","date_gmt":"2025-10-15T10:20:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=7964"},"modified":"2026-04-29T12:57:46","modified_gmt":"2026-04-29T10:57:46","slug":"sweco-polska-railway-design-engineer","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/en\/stanowisko\/sweco-polska-railway-design-engineer\/","title":{"rendered":"Railway Design Engineer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Working on railway design assignments such as alignment design, template design, yards, L Sections, cross-sections;<\/li>\n<li>Overseeing rail engineering design and modelling (vertical and horizontal track geometry, 3D-moddelling, drawings, quantity calculations, typical cross sections);<\/li>\n<li>Maintain technical analysis and feasibility studies for proposed railway projects. Evaluate factors such as terrain, environmental impact, and safety regulations to determine the viability of project plans;<\/li>\n<li>Working with other engineers and designers to decide on solutions to systems issues;<\/li>\n<li>Create the content of the maps that show and clarify what areas are needed to be able to build the new railway \u2013 not only the railway itself.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What type of projects you work with:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Railway yard reconstructions, catenary replacements, both new railway and repair and expansion of existing. The main customer is the Swedish Transport Administration, but we also work for industrial customers.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Civil Engineering \/ Railway Engineering or related field;<\/li>\n<li>Professional experience in Railway\/Lightrail\/Tramway planning and alignment design. We are open to all experience levels, ranging from 2 years to over 10 years of relevant expertise;<\/li>\n<li>Strong 2D and 3D design skills using\u00a0<strong>Bentley Microstation\/Promise\/Open Rail software;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Ability to adapt to other surrounding things like roads, existing buildings\/facilities, ducting, how the existing ground\/geology looks like, piping, etc.;<\/li>\n<li>Collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills;<\/li>\n<li>Very good communication skills in English (written and spoken);<\/li>\n<li><strong>Good to have:<\/strong>\u00a0experience in design ducting, extension of cable trays and cable pipes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What we offer:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Private Medical Care &amp;
