Why This Role Matters<\/strong><\/p>\n

The purpose of this role is to minimise risk<\/strong> to JERA Nex bp by ensuring that policies are appropriate and consistently applied<\/strong> across the business \u2014 supporting commercial progress while enhancing compliance integrity.<\/p>\n

As part of the Legal and Compliance Team<\/strong>, the Senior Compliance Manager<\/strong> plays a pivotal role in enabling JERA Nex bp to develop, own, and operate offshore wind projects globally<\/strong> in a compliant, ethical, and responsible manner.<\/p>\n

This role reports to the SVP Legal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In This Role You Will<\/strong><\/p>\n

As Senior Compliance Manager (C\/M)<\/strong>, you will blend legal and regulatory expertise<\/strong> with strategic thinking<\/strong>, ethical leadership<\/strong>, and effective communication<\/strong>. Your mission is to establish, maintain, and embed compliance and ethical standards across a growing, international energy organization.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h4>\n
    \n
  • Establish and maintain compliance frameworks<\/strong>\n
      \n
    • Manage key compliance projects and initiatives as part of building the compliance function.<\/li>\n
    • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies aligned with regulatory requirements and best practices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
    • Promote ethical conduct<\/strong>\n
        \n
      • Embed a culture of integrity throughout the organization.<\/li>\n
      • Collaborate with stakeholders, subsidiaries, and affiliates to promote strong ethical behaviour and compliance awareness.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
      • Manage risk<\/strong>\n
          \n
        • Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks linked to non-compliance or unethical practices.<\/li>\n
        • Support the business in proactive risk management and internal control design.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
        • Provide advice and training<\/strong>\n
            \n
          • Develop and deliver regular training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and consultants.<\/li>\n
          • Educate teams on ethical standards, compliance policies, and reporting procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
          • Monitor and ensure compliance<\/strong>\n
              \n
            • Track regulatory developments and assess their impact on business operations.<\/li>\n
            • Monitor compliance systems related to business separation, ethics, anti-bribery, corruption, and other key areas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
            • Lead compliance reporting and communication<\/strong>\n
                \n
              • Compile and deliver transparent compliance reports to leadership and stakeholders.<\/li>\n
              • Serve as the central point of contact for compliance queries and concerns.<\/li>\n
              • Manage the investigation and resolution of reported breaches of ethics or compliance.<\/li>\n
              • Oversee compliance risk assessments, audits, and investigations, ensuring timely follow-up and lessons learned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                    • In-depth understanding of laws and regulations, including competition law, anti-bribery, anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, export controls, third-party risk management, and conflict of interest policies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
                    • Analytical and problem-solving skills<\/strong>\n
                        \n
                      • Ability to interpret compliance requirements, assess risks, and design effective control measures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
                      • Communication and interpersonal skills<\/strong>\n

                        • Strong ability to explain complex compliance issues in clear, business-relevant language.<\/li>\n
                        • Skilled in building trust and collaboration across cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n

                          • Capable of influencing at all levels, including senior leadership and the Board.<\/li>\n

                            • Proficiency in identifying trends and improving compliance systems and controls.<\/li>\n

                              Education and Professional Background<\/strong><\/p>\n

                                \n
                              • Bachelor\u2019s degree<\/strong> in Accounting, Audit, Business, Finance, or Law.<\/li>\n
                              • Master\u2019s degree in Regulatory Compliance<\/strong> (or equivalent) is desirable.<\/li>\n
                              • 10+ years of Ethics & Compliance experience<\/strong>, ideally within a regulated industry.<\/li>\n
                              • Experience in the energy sector<\/strong> is advantageous.<\/li>\n
                              • Proven track record in developing compliance programs, conducting training, managing risk assessments, and liaising with regulatory authorities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
