Why This Role Matters<\/strong><\/p>\n

You will join us as a Senior Telecoms Engineer<\/strong> in the SCADA & Telecoms Department<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In this position, you\u2019ll work closely with Electrical, Cables, and SCADA engineers<\/strong>, as well as our O&M<\/strong> and Digital<\/strong> teams, to enable robust, long-range, and secure telecommunication systems<\/strong> for our offshore wind assets.<\/p>\n

You will play a key role in project development<\/strong>, ensuring that safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions<\/strong> are designed and deployed across our global offshore wind portfolio.<\/p>\n

\n

In This Role, You Will:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Design, specify, review, and deliver radio\/telecoms systems<\/strong> for offshore wind farms.<\/li>\n
  • Evaluate, select, and integrate radio technologies<\/strong> including LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi, LoRa, UHF\/VHF<\/strong>, and proprietary RF solutions.<\/li>\n
  • Contribute to a central engineering function<\/strong> for offshore wind projects.<\/li>\n
  • Work in an agile environment<\/strong>, supporting projects, offshore wind operations, and team initiatives.<\/li>\n
  • Manage contractor and vendor<\/strong> deliveries.<\/li>\n
  • Oversee the implementation and testing<\/strong> of selected telecoms solutions.<\/li>\n
  • Ensure design and implementation<\/strong> of telecoms systems comply with international standards<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  • Attend supplier factory acceptance tests (FATs)<\/strong> and represent the company in offsite meetings.<\/li>\n
  • Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure efficient design integration<\/strong> and effective interface management.<\/li>\n
  • Collaborate with local and global colleagues<\/strong> across the organization.<\/li>\n
  • Provide support and consultancy<\/strong> to internal teams and other engineering disciplines.<\/li>\n
  • Work closely with procurement, quality, and project engineering<\/strong> teams.<\/li>\n
  • Mentor<\/strong> junior or graduate engineers, fostering technical growth and development.<\/li>\n
  • Prioritize tasks<\/strong> and monitor progress to meet project schedules and budgets<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Job Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n

    To be successful in this role, you will bring:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • A degree<\/strong> in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Radio<\/strong>, or a related discipline (Chartered Engineer or MSc preferred).<\/li>\n
    • Strong knowledge of wireless communication protocols<\/strong>, digital signal processing<\/strong>, and RF systems<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    • Familiarity with antenna design<\/strong>, propagation modelling<\/strong>, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    • Excellent problem-solving skills<\/strong> and the ability to work both independently<\/strong> and collaboratively<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    • High technical expertise in telecoms engineering \u2014 offshore wind experience<\/strong> is a strong plus.<\/li>\n
    • Proven experience in delivering major infrastructure projects<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    • Deep technical understanding of discipline requirements, standards, interfaces, and constraints<\/strong> necessary for project development and design.<\/li>\n
    • Strong appreciation of the commercial implications<\/strong> of technical decisions and the ability to maximize overall project value.<\/li>\n
    • Experience negotiating technical aspects<\/strong> of control system contracts and managing relationships with key suppliers.<\/li>\n
    • A friendly, self-motivated, and proactive<\/strong> approach with the ability to take initiative.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
