In this role, you will be responsible for the entire technical lifecycle of our metocean buoy systems\u2014from mechanical design and engineering to build coordination, deployment, and improvement campaigns.<\/p>\n<p>Your main focus will be on the <strong data-start=\"417\" data-end=\"471\">design and operation of buoy systems for Accurasea<\/strong>. Once these systems are operational, you will also support <strong data-start=\"531\" data-end=\"582\">Aqua Vision\u2019s hydrometric and metocean projects<\/strong>, providing technical expertise in the development and deployment of measurement systems, frames, and instrumentation setups.<\/p>\n<p>This is a diverse position that combines <strong data-start=\"752\" data-end=\"801\">technical development and practical execution<\/strong>, working closely with both workshop and field teams.<\/p>\n<p><strong data-start=\"858\" data-end=\"883\">Key responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"886\" data-end=\"1755\">\n<li data-start=\"886\" data-end=\"1014\">Lead the technical execution of build, maintenance, and improvement activities for floating metocean and LiDAR buoy systems.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1015\" data-end=\"1157\">Design and document mechanical components and assemblies in SolidWorks, including mechanical calculations and FEM analyses when necessary.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1158\" data-end=\"1272\">Coordinate the fabrication and integration of systems, supervise suppliers, and ensure quality and compliance.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1273\" data-end=\"1410\">Support Aqua Vision\u2019s field measurement projects by preparing and maintaining mechanical systems, buoy structures, and seabed frames.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1411\" data-end=\"1526\">Perform testing and commissioning activities in the workshop, at the quayside, or occasionally onboard vessels.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1527\" data-end=\"1618\">Translate operational experience into design improvements and document lessons learned.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1619\" data-end=\"1692\">Contribute to project planning, cost control, and progress reporting.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1693\" data-end=\"1755\">Coach and guide junior engineers or technicians as needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong data-start=\"1757\" data-end=\"1788\">What do we expect from you?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1791\" data-end=\"2385\">\n<li data-start=\"1791\" data-end=\"1865\">Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or Mechatronics.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1866\" data-end=\"1945\">Proven experience using SolidWorks for mechanical design and documentation.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1946\" data-end=\"2044\">Strong practical skills in assembly, testing, and maintenance of mechanical or marine systems.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2045\" data-end=\"2143\">Affinity or experience with metocean measurement systems, mooring designs, or buoy operations.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2144\" data-end=\"2213\">Solid understanding of structural mechanics and marine materials.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2214\" data-end=\"2262\">Excellent communication and teamwork skills.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2263\" data-end=\"2385\">Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Dutch is strongly preferred due to workshop and supplier collaboration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong data-start=\"2387\" data-end=\"2412\">What do we offer you?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2415\" data-end=\"2888\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">\n<li data-start=\"2415\" data-end=\"2530\">A key role in a growing, innovative organization contributing to renewable energy and environmental monitoring.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2531\" data-end=\"2649\">The opportunity to work on tangible technologies and see your designs implemented in real-world marine conditions.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2650\" data-end=\"2732\">A collaborative team culture with experts from both Aqua Vision and Accurasea.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2733\" data-end=\"2807\">A dynamic combination of design, coordination, and hands-on fieldwork.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2808\" data-end=\"2888\" data-is-last-node=\"\">Competitive salary and growth opportunities based on expertise and initiative.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are looking for a technically skilled and hands-on R&amp;D \/ Lead Project Engineer to join our team.
