We focus on <strong data-start=\"382\" data-end=\"457\">large-scale grid infrastructure, grid connections, and private networks<\/strong>, working on projects that drive the energy transition.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll have the opportunity to contribute to major initiatives such as the <strong data-start=\"591\" data-end=\"636\">UK National Grid\u2019s Great Grid Partnership<\/strong> \u2014 a \u00a39bn enterprise partnership dedicated to connecting clean energy to homes and businesses across England and Wales.<\/p>\n<p>This is an exciting time to join us!<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"799\" data-end=\"802\" \/>\n<p data-start=\"804\" data-end=\"826\"><strong data-start=\"808\" data-end=\"826\">What You\u2019ll Do<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"827\" data-end=\"1359\">\n<li data-start=\"827\" data-end=\"884\">Develop <strong data-start=\"837\" data-end=\"862\">primary plant layouts<\/strong> for HV substations.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"885\" data-end=\"964\">Prepare <strong data-start=\"895\" data-end=\"923\">equipment specifications<\/strong> for HV plant and associated equipment.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"965\" data-end=\"1039\">Provide <strong data-start=\"975\" data-end=\"1003\">engineering design input<\/strong> to major infrastructure projects.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1040\" data-end=\"1130\">Act as <strong data-start=\"1049\" data-end=\"1069\">Owner\u2019s Engineer<\/strong> on HV substation, cable, and overhead line (OHL) projects.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1131\" data-end=\"1253\">Deliver <strong data-start=\"1141\" data-end=\"1160\">HV design input<\/strong> to renewable energy projects including battery storage, solar, hydro, and wind generation.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1254\" data-end=\"1359\">Provide <strong data-start=\"1264\" data-end=\"1301\">professional engineering services<\/strong> to clients across the UK, Ireland, and internationally.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr data-start=\"1361\" data-end=\"1364\" \/>\n<p data-start=\"1366\" data-end=\"1396\"><strong data-start=\"1370\" data-end=\"1396\">What We\u2019re Looking For<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1397\" data-end=\"2020\">\n<li data-start=\"1397\" data-end=\"1454\"><strong data-start=\"1399\" data-end=\"1435\">Degree in Electrical Engineering<\/strong> (or equivalent).<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1455\" data-end=\"1513\">Proven <strong data-start=\"1464\" data-end=\"1510\">experience in High Voltage design projects<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1514\" data-end=\"1576\">Background working with <strong data-start=\"1540\" data-end=\"1573\">major utilities or developers<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1577\" data-end=\"1647\">Experience as a <strong data-start=\"1595\" data-end=\"1627\">designer or project engineer<\/strong> in the HV sector.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1648\" data-end=\"1752\">Strong technical knowledge in <strong data-start=\"1680\" data-end=\"1749\">substation control systems, transformers, GIS, and AIS switchgear<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1753\" data-end=\"1822\">Ability to <strong data-start=\"1766\" data-end=\"1794\">manage multiple projects<\/strong> flexibly and effectively.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1823\" data-end=\"1891\">Excellent <strong data-start=\"1835\" data-end=\"1863\">technical report writing<\/strong> and communication skills.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1892\" data-end=\"1940\"><strong data-start=\"1894\" data-end=\"1916\">Fluency in English<\/strong> (written and spoken).<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1941\" data-end=\"2020\"><strong data-start=\"1943\" data-end=\"1970\">Full UK driving licence<\/strong> and access to a vehicle (site visits required).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr data-start=\"2022\" data-end=\"2025\" \/>\n<p data-start=\"2027\" data-end=\"2064\"><strong data-start=\"2031\" data-end=\"2064\">Desirable Skills &amp;
