The team is responsible for providing retrofit solutions for various wind turbine types and ensuring optimal performance through continuous data analytics and software improvement. Your primary focus will be on developing and testing new wind turbine applications.<\/p>\n<p>Further to this, you will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop turbine control code. Design, implement, and test wind turbine applications (C\/C++, IEC 61131-3 Structured Text) with integration of fieldbus-based I\/O and devices (e.g. CANopen, Modbus, RS-485).\u00a0Perform testing and commissioning of \u00a0\u00a0wind turbine retrofit solutions in the lab, factory, and on site<\/li>\n<li>Prepare documentation and training material and train our customers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application Engineer with an open mind and a \u201ccan-do\u201d spirit<\/strong><br \/>\nAs a person, you are open-minded and comfortable with working in an international team where the primary language is English. Furthermore, you must have a proactive approach to your work and good communication skills, as the position requires coordination in the team.<\/p>\n<p><strong>You\u2019d be a perfect match for this role if you have:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A bachelor\u00b4s or master\u00b4s degree in software engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field<\/li>\n<li>Excellent problem solving for complex systems and critical thinking skills<\/li>\n<li>Programming experience in C\/C++,\u00a0IEC 61131-3\u00a0structured text or similar<\/li>\n<li>Experience with industrial fieldbuses such as CANopen, Modbus, EtherCAT, or RS-485.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to read electrical schematics and understand industrial installations.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in heights (training provided)<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to travel approximately 10% of your time to various international locations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>It&#8217;s a plus if you have:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with wind turbines, power systems, or renewables.<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on skills in electrical troubleshooting and commissioning,<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of collaboration and DevOps tools such as GitLab, Jira, and Confluence.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with AWS services (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, EC2).<\/li>\n<li>Experience with Python\/Go and related data science frameworks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Location:<\/strong>\u00a0Skive, Odense, Silkeborg (DK), Rendsburg (DE), or Klagenfurt (AT).\u00a0Hybrid work is possible.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How we work:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Small, experienced teams with\u00a0end-to-end ownership from code to testbench validation<\/li>\n<li>Modern toolchain\u00a0based on GitLab, Jira, Confluence, and automated CI\/CD workflows.<\/li>\n<li>Direct collaboration with experts across DEIF\u2019s international Wind Team in Denmark, Germany and Austria<\/li>\n<li>Flexible hours, hybrid work, and dedicated training budget (e.g. GWO, AWS, conferences).<\/li>\n<li>Strong learning and feedback culture \u2014 we share, test, and ship fast.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As our new\u00a0Application Engineer, you will be part of our Sustainable Application Team, which consists of skilled and experienced application developers.
