With a proven record of at least 15 years of Planning experience on various projects in the London environment across complex commercial, education, leisure, and health sectors, you will be required to travel to our regional office and sites across the London region.<\/p>\n<p><strong data-start=\"361\" data-end=\"377\">Your mission<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"380\" data-end=\"1923\">\n<li data-start=\"380\" data-end=\"516\">Preparation of design, procurement and construction programmes using Powerproject for pre-qualifications, tenders and live projects.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"517\" data-end=\"622\">Ensuring programme quality checks and planning procedures are implemented at all stages of a project.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"623\" data-end=\"720\">Identifying and selecting the appropriate techniques and sequence of events for each project.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"721\" data-end=\"771\">Preparing logistics plans and phasing layouts.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"772\" data-end=\"912\">Scheduling labour, selecting major plant and access equipment including scaffold schedules, tower crane utilisation and temporary works.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"913\" data-end=\"1038\">Preparing detailed working programmes and, with our supply chain, developing and agreeing subcontractor trade programmes.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1039\" data-end=\"1149\">Monitoring progress throughout the construction process and comparing this against the baseline programme.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1150\" data-end=\"1268\">Liaising with the internal and external project team throughout the process, adjusting project plans as necessary.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1269\" data-end=\"1337\">Reporting findings and recommending solutions to recover delays.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1338\" data-end=\"1417\">Identifying and recording relevant events for potential entitlement claims.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1418\" data-end=\"1493\">Using graphical media to reflect progress, event impacts and forecasts.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1494\" data-end=\"1577\">Providing advice and support on the development of specific systems of working.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1578\" data-end=\"1680\">Analysing sites and local environments to determine appropriate logistics solutions and resources.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1681\" data-end=\"1733\">Preparing project and activity feedback reports.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1734\" data-end=\"1771\">Writing tender and PQQ responses.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1772\" data-end=\"1833\">Attending and presenting at internal and client meetings.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1834\" data-end=\"1923\">Implementing and providing general planning appreciation and awareness to site teams.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong data-start=\"1925\" data-end=\"1952\">Who are we looking for?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1955\" data-end=\"2929\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">\n<li data-start=\"1955\" data-end=\"2067\">An energetic, proactive, hands-on, confident, and self-motivated approach with experience in a similar role.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2068\" data-end=\"2219\">Demonstrable experience in contract and tender planning with an ability to take the lead in programme and time management of construction projects.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2220\" data-end=\"2355\">Experience of project delivery within the London construction environment across a wide range of market sectors and contract types.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2356\" data-end=\"2420\">Knowledge of traditional and modern construction techniques.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2421\" data-end=\"2485\">Experience in using Powerproject and Microsoft applications.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2486\" data-end=\"2558\">Knowledge and practice in 4D Planning (preferred but not essential).<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2559\" data-end=\"2671\">Knowledge and practice of modern planning practices including implementing programme health checks and QSRA.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2672\" data-end=\"2843\">Good communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment or as an individual, with confidence to respond directly to clients\u2019 requests or enquiries.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2844\" data-end=\"2909\">A good understanding of contract types including JCT and NEC.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2910\" data-end=\"2929\" data-is-last-node=\"\">Degree qualified.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BAM is recruiting a Senior Planner in the London Region of our construction business.
