The team will be ready to mobilise as soon as the civil works are complete and will operate under a collaborative Rail Systems Alliance structure, designed to manage interfaces and resolve any programme conflicts. The members will work together on design, access, resources, and logistics to achieve shared goals for cost and schedule.<\/p>\n<p><strong data-start=\"570\" data-end=\"583\">Your team<\/strong><br data-start=\"583\" data-end=\"586\" \/>Candidates will be based in London and may be required at times to travel to Birmingham.<br data-start=\"674\" data-end=\"677\" \/>Elements of hybrid\/flexible working are also supported.<\/p>\n<p><strong data-start=\"736\" data-end=\"755\">Making Possible<\/strong><br data-start=\"755\" data-end=\"758\" \/>As Project Controls Manager, you will be responsible for the following:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"832\" data-end=\"2236\">\n<li data-start=\"832\" data-end=\"973\">Ensuring all weekly and monthly reports are prepared, validated, and submitted to suit both internal and external reporting requirements.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"974\" data-end=\"1122\">Ensuring that project control processes are consistently applied across the project and ensuring overall integration of performance information.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1123\" data-end=\"1194\">Managing governance to ensure robust cost and schedule performance.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1195\" data-end=\"1247\">Undertaking Earned Value Analysis and reporting.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1248\" data-end=\"1369\">Establishing and agreeing Key Performance Indicators with the Contractor and determining how these will be monitored.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1370\" data-end=\"1463\">Supporting and advising on the definition of Project Controls, procedures, and standards.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1464\" data-end=\"1550\">Supporting the development of requirements for specific resource-loaded schedules.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1551\" data-end=\"1679\">Working closely with the Project Manager, Planning Manager, and Commercial Manager to maximise the potential of the project.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1680\" data-end=\"1760\">Coaching and supporting others who will need to feed into Project Reporting.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1761\" data-end=\"1862\">Identifying and implementing best practices, procedures, tools, and systems for project controls.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1863\" data-end=\"1935\">Managing the selection and\/or development of project controls tools.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1936\" data-end=\"2023\">Advising on recommended reactions to risks to facilitate effective decision-making.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2024\" data-end=\"2105\">Facilitating effective working relationships and influencing decision-making.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2106\" data-end=\"2167\">Contributing to the preparation and delivery of training.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2168\" data-end=\"2236\">Auditing Sub-Contractor Project Controls procedures as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong data-start=\"2238\" data-end=\"2272\">What do you bring to the role?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2275\" data-end=\"3164\">\n<li data-start=\"2275\" data-end=\"2368\">Successful experience as a Project Controls Manager on a large project delivery (\u00a3300m+).<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2369\" data-end=\"2449\">Experience of joint venture\/alliance working (beneficial but not essential).<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2450\" data-end=\"2561\">Experienced user of Programme tools and techniques such as Contruent, Primavera, Deltek Cobra, EcoSys, etc.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2562\" data-end=\"2694\">Experience in implementing Earned Value Management-based Project Control systems in accordance with relevant national standards.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2695\" data-end=\"2746\">Experience in working on NEC3 or NEC4 projects.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2747\" data-end=\"2888\">Practical ability to utilise critical project management concepts (e.g., EVM, project planning, risk analysis, configuration management).<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2889\" data-end=\"2960\">Computer literate and experienced in Microsoft Office applications.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"2961\" data-end=\"3041\">Successful experience in Civil Engineering in project\/commercial management.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3042\" data-end=\"3164\">Proven skills in planning software, principally Primavera P6, with the ability to work in a P6 Enterprise environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong data-start=\"3166\" data-end=\"3192\">Desirable requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"3195\" data-end=\"3404\">\n<li data-start=\"3195\" data-end=\"3277\">Degree in Civil Engineering or related qualification, or NVQ equivalent level.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3278\" data-end=\"3349\">Professionally qualified to Chartered Engineer or equivalent level.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3350\" data-end=\"3404\">Knowledge of basic business strategy and
