As a Project Safety Manager<\/strong>, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of health and safety<\/strong> are maintained throughout the project.<\/p>\n

Your mission<\/strong><\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Supervise, support, and guide all safety advisors on site.<\/li>\n
  • Ensure that safety systems and plans meet relevant standards and legal requirements.<\/li>\n
  • Ensure safety issues are identified and addressed during project review meetings.<\/li>\n
  • Advise and guide project personnel in setting up and maintaining safety management systems.<\/li>\n
  • Keep accurate and compliant records in line with internal audit standards.<\/li>\n
  • Assist managers with safety submissions, risk assessments, and vendor evaluations.<\/li>\n
  • Promote a strong health and safety culture across the project through proactive communication and engagement.<\/li>\n
  • Deliver training to ensure all personnel understand and comply with safety procedures.<\/li>\n
  • Ensure the project operates in accordance with all statutory health and safety documentation.<\/li>\n
  • Prepare and submit monthly safety reports in the agreed format.<\/li>\n
  • Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits.<\/li>\n
  • Identify areas for improvement and escalate issues to the project management team as required.<\/li>\n
  • Monitor and assess the adequacy of accident investigation and reporting processes.<\/li>\n
  • Lead and coordinate safety audits to drive compliance and continual improvement.<\/li>\n
  • Liaise directly with the Project Manager on all health, safety, and welfare matters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    What do you bring to the role?<\/strong><\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Proven experience as a Project Safety Manager<\/strong>, with at least 3 years of relevant experience<\/strong> in a construction environment.<\/li>\n
    • A recognised qualification in Occupational Health and Safety<\/strong> (e.g. NEBOSH Diploma<\/strong>) or equivalent relevant experience.<\/li>\n
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of an organisation.<\/li>\n
    • Ability to deliver health and safety training as directed by the Head of Health and Safety.<\/li>\n
    • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.<\/li>\n
    • Thorough knowledge of OHSAS 45001<\/strong> standards.<\/li>\n
    • Chartered membership of IOSH<\/strong> (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health).<\/li>\n
    • Proven experience in leading and managing accident investigations.<\/li>\n
    • Strong business acumen with an understanding of the commercial implications of decisions.<\/li>\n
    • Experience or knowledge of operational activities on transmission, distribution, overhead, underground, or substation networks<\/strong> is desirable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
