In this role, you work\u00a0in close contact with supporting departments\u00a0of the Fleet Management\u00a0Department such as SHEQ, Finance, Crewing,\u00a0Procurement\u00a0and\u00a0Certificate\u00a0department.\u00a0You liaise with the Operations department regarding\u00a0the operational planning\u00a0of\u00a0projects and the required repairs of the vessels.\u00a0Together with your Technical Superintendents\u00a0you\u00a0ensure optimum performance\u00a0of your fleet within the\u00a0safety standards of the company and the agreed budget.<\/p>\n<p>The Vessel Manager we are looking\u00a0for,\u00a0will be working for the Fleet Management Department of Boskalis Offshore\u00a0Energy. The\u00a0specific Fleet Team manages Cable layer vessels which are\u00a0working worldwide.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Your responsibilities\u00a0as Vessel Manager:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bearing responsibility\u00a0for the\u00a0safe and\u00a0technical reliability of the\u00a0fleet.<\/li>\n<li>Resolving acute technical problems within the designated fleet.<\/li>\n<li>Carrying out, propagating and monitoring the centrally formulated technical and safety policy and reporting of possible improvements.<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring the maintenance schedules\u00a0and vessel\u2019s condition.<\/li>\n<li>Advice\u00a0and support the project staff in fleet related adjustments to\u00a0ensure\u00a0continued\u00a0compliance and\u00a0performance of the vessels.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for\u00a0the annual budget preparation,\u00a0a good allocation of the costs\u00a0and financial reporting\u00a0related to the fleet, cost management.<\/li>\n<li>Coaching of\u00a0Technical Superintendents\u00a0and crew in the field of maintenance,\u00a0finance,\u00a0safety and logistics.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures full compliance of fleet certifications according to statutory, class and Ovid requirements. Being responsible for\u00a0a necessary\u00a0set of documentations used for office &#8211; fleet project purposes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Your qualities\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nYou can make your mark as\u00a0Vessel Manager\u00a0if you have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Leadership competences, able to manage a team while being a team player .<\/li>\n<li>3\u00a0years\u2019 relevant work experience as\u00a0Vessel Manager\u00a0or\u00a010 years as\u00a0Sr.\u00a0Technical\u00a0superintendent with the ambition to be promoted to Vessel Manager.<\/li>\n<li>At least\u00a0Bachelor\u2019s\u00a0degree\u00a0in\u00a0Marine\u00a0Technology, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent\u00a0working experience.<\/li>\n<li>In-depth knowledge of\u00a0Fleet\u00a0Management IT systems.<\/li>\n<li>A good command of written and spoken\u00a0English\u00a0and\u00a0Dutch.<\/li>\n<li>Good communication skills and\u00a0ability\u00a0to work under pressure.<\/li>\n<li>A strong motivation to work in a challenging and dynamic environment in the Maritime Industry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"content toggle-height-content\" data-component=\"ContentToggle\" data-settings=\"{&quot;toggleHeight&quot;: &quot;number&quot;}\" data-settings-data=\"{&quot;toggleHeight&quot;: &quot;210&quot;}\" data-component-settings=\"{&quot;toggle-height&quot;: &quot;toggleHeight&quot;}\" data-toggle-height=\"210\" data-initialized=\"true\">\n<div class=\"content-grid\">\n<p class=\"section-title\"><strong>We offer<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"content\">\n<p><strong>Extra information\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your team:\u00a0Your team exists of around 3 Technical Superintendents\u00a0and you will report to the Fleet Manager.<\/li>\n<li>Where you will work:\u00a0In consultation with your manager and your team, you work partly at home and partly in the office.
