You will form part of a national modelling team and be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues in our wider Transport &amp; Mobility Solutions division.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>You will be engaged on projects for high profile clients such as Transport for West Midlands, Midlands Connect, Birmingham City Council, Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, Transport for Wales, Department for Transport, National Highways, East West Rail Co and Heathrow Airport Ltd.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Leadership of the Birmingham modelling team, fostering a culture in line with our PRIDE values<\/li>\n<li>Technical leadership of strategic multi-modal public transport and highway modelling<\/li>\n<li>Leading by example on quality assurance and best practice<\/li>\n<li>Support the Regional Client Manager in business development activities including identifying and capturing new business opportunities and winning work<\/li>\n<li>Assist in coordinating client engagement and bidding activities across Mott MacDonald to ensure strong outcomes for clients and the business<\/li>\n<li>Nurturing new and existing client relationships<\/li>\n<li>Promoting the Mott MacDonald brand and our skills and experience at conferences and events<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Candidate specification<\/strong><br \/>\nEssential:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrable leadership and people management experience<\/li>\n<li>Exemplary report writing, project management, communication and technical skills<\/li>\n<li>Extensive experience of highway and public transport modelling software such as SATURN, VISUM, EMME, CUBE and Diadem<\/li>\n<li>Extensive experience of data analysis, variable demand modelling and forecasting<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable client network and the ability to foster new and existing client relationships, lead on business development activities, capture and win new work<\/li>\n<li>A numerical degree at bachelors level or an equivalent qualification<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Desirable:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An understanding of how transport modelling fits within the wider picture of scheme appraisal, transport strategy and policy, business case, environment, society and design<\/li>\n<li>Expertise in Geographic Information System (GIS), ARC or MAPINFO<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Python, SQL and version control with Git<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of microsimulation software such as VISSIM, PARAMICS and AIMSUN<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge and application of the DfT\u2019s Transport Appraisal Guidance (TAG)<\/li>\n<li>Professionally qualified (CEng or CTPP) through the CIHT, ICE or IET<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8598\" src=\"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/mmStopka.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1920\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/mmStopka.png 1920w, https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/mmStopka-300x47.png 300w, https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/mmStopka-1024x160.png 1024w, https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/mmStopka-768x120.png 768w, https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/mmStopka-1536x240.png 1536w, https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/mmStopka-1200x188.png 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are currently looking to expand our transport modelling team in Birmingham and are looking to appoint a Technical Principal to play a key role in the leadership, development and&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":9475,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_promoted":"","_company_name":"Mott MacDonald","_job_zagraniczne":"1","_company_website":"","_company_video":"","_remote_position":0,"_hide_expiration":"0","_job_salary":"","_job_salary_currency":"","_job_salary_unit":""},"job-categories":[37,147],"job-types":[2],"job_listing_tag":[],"class_list":{"0":"post-8609","1":"job_listing","2":"type-job_listing","3":"status-expired","4":"hentry","5":"job_listing_category-budownictwo","6":"job_listing_category-inne-budownictwo","7":"job_listing_type-umowa-o-prace","8":"work-model-praca-hybrydowa","9":"job-level-senior","11":"job-type-umowa-o-prace"},"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v25.5 (Yoast SEO v25.5) -
