We are now seeking an experienced\u00a0Design Manager<\/strong>\u00a0to join our team on a major Data Centre project. The successful candidate will lead and coordinate the design process, working closely with internal engineering teams, BIM departments, and external consultants to ensure design deliverables are completed to programme, budget, and quality requirements.<\/p>\n

Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n
    \n
  • Support the\u00a0Design Lead<\/strong>\u00a0in coordinating with internal design engineers, BIM teams, and external consultants.<\/li>\n
  • Assist in liaising with the\u00a0client\u2019s design team<\/strong>\u00a0to ensure project design coordination and integration across all disciplines.<\/li>\n
  • Track and update\u00a0design progress<\/strong>\u00a0to ensure deliverables are issued in line with the project schedule.<\/li>\n
  • Prepare and participate in\u00a0design and engineering workshops<\/strong>, helping to resolve technical issues and maintain progress ahead of construction activities.<\/li>\n
  • Support the\u00a0Technical Submittal (TS)<\/strong>\u00a0process, ensuring timely preparation, submission, and follow-up with the design and client teams.<\/li>\n
  • Assist in managing the\u00a0design query and RFI process<\/strong>, ensuring issues are logged, monitored, and closed out in coordination with relevant engineers.<\/li>\n
  • Help manage\u00a0Issued for Construction (IFC)<\/strong>\u00a0drawings and updates, ensuring all stakeholders are working to current revisions.<\/li>\n
  • Contribute to\u00a0weekly design and coordination meetings<\/strong>, documenting actions and following up with responsible parties.<\/li>\n
  • Maintain and update the\u00a0design risk register<\/strong>\u00a0under direction of the Design Lead, highlighting emerging risks to the project team.<\/li>\n
  • Support in coordinating\u00a0submittals<\/strong>, design documentation, and tracking of approvals.<\/li>\n
  • Assist with\u00a0as-built drawing coordination<\/strong>, ensuring final documentation and models are submitted to project requirements.<\/li>\n
  • Ensure\u00a0O&M manuals<\/strong>, documentation, and record drawings are submitted and uploaded correctly to the client platform.<\/li>\n
  • Provide support in tracking\u00a0LEED requirements<\/strong>\u00a0and sustainability documentation in coordination with the Design Lead and external consultants.<\/li>\n
  • Liaise with the\u00a0Project Engineer, Project Manager<\/strong>, and wider team to ensure information flow supports site progress.<\/li>\n
  • Prepare\u00a0design progress reports<\/strong>\u00a0and assist with other design documentation as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

     <\/p>\n

    Skills, qualification & experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • 3\u20136 years\u2019 experience<\/strong>\u00a0in the design and delivery of large-scale construction projects (e.g. data centres, commercial, industrial, healthcare, or educational facilities).<\/li>\n
    • Degree qualification in a relevant\u00a0engineering or construction discipline<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    • Exposure to\u00a0multidisciplinary coordination<\/strong>\u00a0across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical services.<\/li>\n
    • Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.<\/li>\n
    • Proactive and detail-oriented approach, with a focus on meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.<\/li>\n
    • Data Centre experience<\/strong>\u00a0is advantageous but not essential.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
