{"id":8879,"date":"2025-12-11T00:30:55","date_gmt":"2025-11-20T09:23:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=8879"},"modified":"2026-03-23T00:02:34","modified_gmt":"2026-03-22T23:02:34","slug":"aecom-senior-mechanical-engineer-bucharest-rumunia","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/en\/?post_type=job_listing&p=8879","title":{"rendered":"Senior Mechanical Engineer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Here is what you will do:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead the design, specification, and integration of rotating equipment (pumps, blowers, compressors, mixers, aeration systems) will represent primary focus.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and review datasheets, calculations, specifications, and technical reports, with emphasis on rotating machinery.<\/li>\n<li>Providing technical input on piping systems and water\/wastewater treatment equipment (screens, grit chambers, sludge handling, chemical dosing, disinfection units) will be considered a very strong advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Contributing to the review and coordination of static equipment (tanks, vessels, filters, heat exchangers) when required will be considered an advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with project requirements, applicable standards (ASME, API, AWWA, ISO), and client expectations.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate mechanical interfaces with process, structural, electrical, and I&amp;C disciplines.<\/li>\n<li>Review vendor documentation for compliance with project specifications and participate in design reviews.<\/li>\n<li>Develop mechanical equipment layouts, general arrangement drawings, and piping designs (2D\/3D).<\/li>\n<li>Support preparation of material requisitions, BOQs, and project documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across the design team.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate effectively with other AECOM offices and international project teams.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 12 years of experience in mechanical design with strong focus on rotating equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Proven expertise in pumps, blowers, compressors, mixers, and aeration systems (mandatory).<\/li>\n<li>Experience in piping design and water\/wastewater treatment facilities (very strong advantage).<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of static equipment such as tanks, vessels, filters, heat exchangers (advantage).<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on field experience in installation supervision, testing, or commissioning of water or wastewater treatment plants is a strong advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Examples include participation in site inspections, equipment installation checks, commissioning of pumping systems, or troubleshooting of treatment plant mechanical systems.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in 2D and 3D modeling tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and Revit.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with international design standards and codes (ASME, AWWA, API, ISO).<\/li>\n<li>Excellent coordination and communication skills in English.<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to manage work within scope, schedule, and budget.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here is what you will do: Lead the design, specification, and integration of rotating equipment (pumps, blowers, compressors, mixers, aeration systems) will represent primary focus.
