Here is what you will do:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Structural Design & Analysis<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
      \n
    • Lead the design of substation steel structures, gantries, bus supports, equipment foundations, control buildings, and ancillary facilities.<\/li>\n
    • Perform structural analysis and design calculations for concrete and steel per IEC, Eurocodes, ACI, AISC, and other applicable standards.<\/li>\n
    • Prepare and review construction drawings, general arrangements, and detailed structural layouts using AutoCAD and MicroStation.<\/li>\n
    • Develop foundation design packages for transformers, circuit breakers, GIS\/HIS equipment, and cable support systems.<\/li>\n
    • Integrate substation civil\/structural design with electrical layouts, geotechnical constraints, and site development requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
        \n
      1. Leadership & Project Management<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
          \n
        • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to structural engineers and CAD designers.<\/li>\n
        • Manage project deliverables, schedules, and budgets for structural engineering scopes.<\/li>\n
        • Support business development activities, including proposals, cost estimation, and scope definition.<\/li>\n
        • Represent the structural engineering function in client meetings, design reviews, and regulatory coordination.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
            \n
          1. Construction & Field Support<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
              \n
            • Provide engineering support during construction, installation, and commissioning of substation structures.<\/li>\n
            • Review and respond to RFIs, site queries, and field change requests.<\/li>\n
            • Conduct constructability reviews and ensure designs are practical, safe, and cost-effective.<\/li>\n
            • Support inspection, testing, and handover phases, ensuring as-built compliance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                \n
              1. Documentation & QA\/QC<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
                  \n
                • Prepare and review structural calculation reports, bills of quantities, and construction documentation.<\/li>\n
                • Ensure designs comply with company QA\/QC procedures and client standards.<\/li>\n
                • Participate in peer reviews, interdisciplinary coordination, and internal audits to maintain technical excellence.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                    \n
                  1. Innovation & Standards Development<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
                      \n
                    • Contribute to the development of standard design libraries, templates, and workflows for substation structural engineering.<\/li>\n
                    • Assess and integrate new materials and technologies to improve safety, resiliency, and sustainability.<\/li>\n
                    • Stay up to date with industry standards, codes, and best practices relevant to substation structural design.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                      Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n

                      Here\u2019s what we\u2019re looking for:<\/strong><\/p>\n

                      Required:<\/p>\n

                        \n
                      • Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related discipline).<\/li>\n
                      • 6+ years of experience in structural engineering for high-voltage substations (HV\/MV, up to 400 kV preferred).<\/li>\n
                      • Proven experience with steel and concrete design, structural analysis, and substation-specific structures.<\/li>\n
                      • Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation for substation drawings and layouts.<\/li>\n
                      • Strong knowledge of international standards (IEC, ACI, AISC, Eurocodes, IEEE, NFPA).<\/li>\n
                      • Solid understanding of substation layout requirements, electrical clearance constraints, and equipment integration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                        Preferred:<\/p>\n

                          \n
                        • Field experience in construction supervision, inspection, or commissioning support.<\/li>\n
                        • Knowledge of seismic, wind, and extreme weather design for substation structures.<\/li>\n
                        • Experience with GIS substations, hybrid substations, or retrofit projects.<\/li>\n
                        • Familiarity with utility\/client standards from major power companies.<\/li>\n
                        • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Chartered Engineer status.<\/li>\n
                        • Experience with 3D modeling, BIM tools, or CDE platforms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                          Soft Skills:<\/p>\n

                          • Strong leadership and team mentoring abilities.<\/li>\n
                          • Effective communicator with clients, contractors, and internal teams.<\/li>\n
