They can provide support to their team with a limited degree of supervision. They can act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience. The Senior Document Controller is skilled in various processes, procedures, and systems.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Tasks and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist the Lead Document Management lead in completing the day-to-day project activities<\/li>\n<li>Gain experience in the following work area: iDocs<\/li>\n<li>Develop basic technical skills to complete assigned work<\/li>\n<li>Become familiar with specific aspects of the contract and project team requirements pertaining to information management and project delivery (standards, procedures, and EDMS)<\/li>\n<li>Read and implement project-specific information management procedures and work instruction<\/li>\n<li>Create work instructions where needed<\/li>\n<li>Implement project-specific information management procedures and work instruction<\/li>\n<li>Communicate document management solutions and concepts to the project team<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for identifying information management issues or areas of improvement<\/li>\n<li>Continue developing skills to complete repetitive tasks efficiently<\/li>\n<li>Participates in project documentation audits<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all project team members have the appropriate training for EDMS as required<\/li>\n<li>Prioritize and organize own\/team\u2019s work to meet agreed-upon deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Accurately track, log, and distribute releases of both internal and external documentation, including metadata<\/li>\n<li>Archive project records<\/li>\n<li>Index and distribute project documents in an accurate and timely manner<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Essential Qualifications and Education:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>5 years minimum Document Management experience with a major contractor or consultant<\/li>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s Degree in any stream or equivalent diploma (preferably in Computer Science)<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of Electronic Database Management System (EDMS) software, MS Office, and Adobe<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate in Microsoft programs: \u00a0Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel, Project<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on experience in EPC project execution in the Oil and Gas contracting industry<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work as a team member as well as act as a team leader (if the position is a Lead position)<\/li>\n<li>Successful communication skills, business acumen, and decision-making capability<\/li>\n<li>Certified iDocs Trainer (preferable)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8986\" src=\"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/MCDermottFooter.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1920\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/MCDermottFooter.png 1920w, https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/MCDermottFooter-300x47.png 300w, https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/MCDermottFooter-1024x160.png 1024w, https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/MCDermottFooter-768x120.png 768w, https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/MCDermottFooter-1536x240.png 1536w, https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/MCDermottFooter-1200x188.png 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Job Overview: The Senior Document Controller has developed specialized Document Control-specific skills through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience.
