They receive instruction, guidance, and direction from others within the team.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Tasks and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have a working knowledge of company and project-specific Environmental terms, requirements, and project deliverables.<\/li>\n<li>Conversant with local and international HSES laws, codes, and regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure Environmental plans, procedures, and instructions are implemented.<\/li>\n<li>Understand and monitor controls of environmental-related risks (e.g., aspects and impacts, ENVID) and other risk reviews.<\/li>\n<li>Become familiar with the Site\u2019s environmental legal and risk registers, conduct compliance tasks, \u00a0and track corrective actions.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in Environmental Prequalification of project subcontractors and vendors as applicable.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with preparing and participating in conducting HSE \/ Environmental audits and inspections.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in risk assessments and risk registries maintenance.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and maintain Environmental Activity Plans.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare Environmental performance reports as directed and submit relevant reports to the HSES \/ Environmental Functional Lead.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in Environmental training needs analysis and assist in environmental training development.<\/li>\n<li>Provide Environmental input into look-ahead plans and reports based on the project schedule.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct regular site or facility environmental inspections and reviews.<\/li>\n<li>Competent in data collection, verification, retention, and organization for reporting and audit readiness.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in environmental investigations following incidents and or non-compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with ensuring corrective actions and recommendations are acted upon.<\/li>\n<li>Provide support for report completion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Essential Qualifications and Education:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in \u00a0Environmental Science, Safety, Engineering, or related degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience) in a related field.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain key competencies associated with the Environmental function.<\/li>\n<li>Communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarized with local and international Environmental laws, codes, regulations, and norms.<\/li>\n<li>Statistical and data analysis ability.<\/li>\n<li>Experienced in ISO standards (9001, 14001, or 45001) preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate in Microsoft programs: Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements related to the scope of work that includes monitoring compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Teamwork and collaborative skills.<\/li>\n<li>Preferred knowledge of RegScan, Intelex, FigBytes, and PowerBI platforms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8986\" src=\"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/MCDermottFooter.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1920\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/MCDermottFooter.png 1920w, https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/MCDermottFooter-300x47.png 300w, https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/MCDermottFooter-1024x160.png 1024w, https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/MCDermottFooter-768x120.png 768w, https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/MCDermottFooter-1536x240.png 1536w, https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/MCDermottFooter-1200x188.png 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Job Overview: The Associate Environmental Specialist\u2019s role involves understanding environmental risks and general environmental compliance and is responsible for utilizing existing Environment procedures to solve routine or standard problems.
