The client acts as the <strong>EPC contractor<\/strong>, responsible for the design of the turbine island and all remaining plant systems, as well as the full construction of the facility. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the expansion of<strong> Poland\u2019s nuclear energy infrastructure<\/strong>, and the client is looking for talented professionals who will help strengthen the country\u2019s nuclear capabilities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><strong>Senior Geotechnical Engineer<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0<strong>Senior Engineering Geologist<\/strong>\u00a0will support geological and geotechnical activities for the <strong>Poland AP1000 Project<\/strong>, located at the Lubiatowo site.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">This position reports to the lead field engineering <strong>geologist\/geotechnical<\/strong> engineer or an appointed representative. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational capabilities, teamwork orientation, effective problem-solving skills, a proactive approach, and a commitment to high-quality work. The role requires full-time involvement in subsurface investigation efforts throughout their entire duration.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The position involves overseeing field operations\u2014such as drilling, sampling, and in-situ testing\u2014participating in coordination meetings, and working closely with other engineering geologists\/geotechnical engineers as well as client representatives.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><strong>Key duties include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Review all relevant specifications, borehole layout documentation, bills of quantities, and subcontract materials<b><\/b><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Attend planned training sessions<b><\/b><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Provide technical guidance to subcontractors when needed<b><\/b><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Monitor geotechnical\/geological field activities and ensure adherence to technical standards and quality requirements<b><\/b><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Prepare field instruction documents to clarify or resolve engineering matters<b><\/b><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Verify subcontractor field data for correctness and conformity with project requirements<b><\/b><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Report site observations and conditions to the lead field engineer\/geologist<b><\/b><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Coordinate daily tasks with the lead field engineer\/geologisSupport coordination between multiple subcontractors and ensure consistency of deliverables<b><\/b><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Escalate unresolved issues to the lead field engineer\/geologist promptly<b><\/b><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Assist in preparing daily reporting documentation<b><\/b><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Take part in safety meetings and daily planning sessions<b><\/b><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Follow all safety protocols and reporting procedures<b><\/b><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Support laboratory testing of collected samples<b><\/b><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Assist during audits or inspections by the client or the Polish National Atomic Energy Agency (PAA), including presenting fieldwork and samples<b><\/b><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Provide guidance and mentorship to junior or less-experienced field geologists\/geotechnical engineers<b><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><strong>Basic Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">M.S. in Engineering Geology or Geotechnical Engineering (accredited institution) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant progressive experience<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Strong background in managing or executing subsurface investigation programs (drilling, sampling, field and lab testing)<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Eligibility to work in Poland without employer sponsorship<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common software tools<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Ability to effectively use engineering and office automation tools<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Working knowledge of English<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><strong>Preferred Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Fluent English<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Familiarity with Polish and international codes and standards applicable to the nuclear sector<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Experience in offshore ground investigation Projects<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Readiness to work shift rotations on an offshore, live-aboard jack-up platform<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Polish professional certification as a Geologist or Geotechnical Engineer<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Understanding of Polish geological conditions, preferably specific to the Lubiatowo region<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Prior involvement in large-scale industrial EPC Projects<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Experience in licensing, design, or construction of commercial nuclear facilities<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Background
