{"id":9433,"date":"2025-12-25T00:30:41","date_gmt":"2025-12-04T08:57:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/?post_type=job_listing&#038;p=9433"},"modified":"2026-01-28T10:28:28","modified_gmt":"2026-01-28T09:28:28","slug":"nexans-product-development-specialist-erembodegem-aalst","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/en\/?post_type=job_listing&p=9433","title":{"rendered":"Product Development Specialist"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Join our dynamic team at<strong> Power Cables and Accessories Business Unit Technical,<\/strong> where we play a crucial role in the energy transition.<\/p>\n<p>The Business Unit wants to be an innovative reference brand for our customers and to be worldwide energy transition leader with differentiated &amp; sustainable offers (cables, accessories, services, eco-designed solutions).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>GETTING A FLYING START<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>As\u00a0<strong>Technical Expert R&amp;D \u2013 Mechanical\/electrical contact,<\/strong> you will contribute to overall projects and\/or be responsible of sub-projects in product and technology development with a successful support up to series production.<\/li>\n<li>You will design, test and evaluate cable connectors in compliance with standards, design guidelines and costumer standards<\/li>\n<li>You support in patent research with your technical analysis and valuable evaluation of marketable products and components.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This role, based in EREMBODEGEM (Belgium) is vital for supporting Nexans&#8217; strategic goals, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving continuous improvement in our technical processes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Develop mechanical and electrical contact technology for cable connectors :<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You manage projects in product and technology development by a successful support up to series production and by a active monitoring of production process<\/li>\n<li>You design, test and evaluate cable connectors in compliance with standards, design guidelines and costumer standards<\/li>\n<li>You support in patent research by technical analysis and evaluation of marketable products and components<\/li>\n<li>you support sales department in technical questions and reclamation handling and you create technical documentation for products and components<\/li>\n<li>Laboratory management (order, cleanliness, responsibility for equipment and tool maintenance) and related activities<\/li>\n<li>Preparation and support for type tests and tests according to ISO IEC 61238 in the low, medium and high voltage range<\/li>\n<li>You cooperate for preparation of internal and external product and assembly training<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>YOUR STARTING POINTS WHEN YOU JOIN<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Educational Background:<\/strong>\u00a0Master\u2019s degree in area of electrical or electromechanical engineering<\/li>\n<li><strong>Product Management skills:<\/strong>\u00a0Proven experience in Product development and in the area of mechanical and electrical contact technology and insulating materials. You have some knowledge in handling common CAD systems and common simulation tools.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Communication Skills<\/strong><b>:<\/b>\u00a0Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide technical support on Customer projects in several countries.
