{"id":9647,"date":"2026-01-01T00:30:20","date_gmt":"2025-12-11T08:50:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/stanowisko\/principal-designer\/"},"modified":"2026-01-28T10:10:06","modified_gmt":"2026-01-28T09:10:06","slug":"mott-macdonald-principal-designer-manchester-wielka-brytania","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/en\/?post_type=job_listing&p=9647","title":{"rendered":"Principal Designer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8596\" src=\"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/MMdonaldBaner.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1920\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/MMdonaldBaner.png 1920w, https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/MMdonaldBaner-300x94.png 300w, https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/MMdonaldBaner-1024x320.png 1024w, https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/MMdonaldBaner-768x240.png 768w, https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/MMdonaldBaner-1536x480.png 1536w, https:\/\/jobtek.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/MMdonaldBaner-1200x375.png 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We are looking for an experienced and driven Principal Designer Advisor (both CDM and Building Regulations) to provide support to clients within multiple sectors including buildings, water, energy, defence, transportation and the built environment.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key responsibilities and duties include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nationally deliver the duties of Principal Designer for a diverse client base<\/li>\n<li>Provide advice to clients on CDM compliance for their projects including the development of CDM Strategy documents, Pre Construction Information Summary Documents and H&amp;S Files<\/li>\n<li>Assist and advise the Client on the competency of those they appoint into the roles of Designer and Principal Contractor<\/li>\n<li>Review and comment on the suitability of key CDM documentation e.g. PCI, design risk assessment, Construction Phase Plan, F10 and H&amp;S File<\/li>\n<li>Review and comment on the suitability of Building Regulations documentation e.g. competency, compliance with approved documents, HRB Gateways 1,2 and 3 submissions<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate and undertake Health &amp; Safety by Design reviews incl. but not limited to HAZID, HAZCON &amp; HAZOP<\/li>\n<li>Attend and input into a variety of meetings incl. design team meetings and client meetings to offer advice on hazards \/ risk at pre-construction and construction stages<\/li>\n<li>Advise and support Designers with the application of the CDM Principles of Prevention<\/li>\n<li>Support the maintenance of own workload and assisting with bidding and proposal writing for new opportunities<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with stakeholders on projects e.g. regulatory bodies, Client, Principal Designer, Designers, Principal Contractor, Contractors and the supply chain<\/li>\n<li>Be able to draft Health &amp; Safety arrangements, Pre-Construction Information and Health and Safety Files<\/li>\n<li>Assist Clients in identifying relevant health &amp; safety and pre-construction information and advising them of possible gaps<\/li>\n<li>Carry out the internal roles of Project Safety Advisor and Principal Designer Advisor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Candidate specification<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Essential:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Flexible with regards to travel and able to travel to sites \/ projects UK wide on occasion<\/li>\n<li>Experience of working on large scale projects within the defence\/water\/energy\/education\/transportation and built environment sectors<\/li>\n<li>Clear passion and understanding for effective health &amp; safety managements together with design and construction risk management<\/li>\n<li>Excellent practical knowledge and experience of applying Health &amp; Safety Legislation and Best Practice, as well as specifically the CDM Regulations and Building regulations 2023 (ENGLAND)<\/li>\n<li>Chartered or equivalent in a relevant engineering, construction, or project management discipline; or significant relevant experience<\/li>\n<li>NEBOSH National General and\/or Construction Certificate<\/li>\n<li>Extensive experience in the field of CDM \/ health and safety consultancy<\/li>\n<li>Extensive experience of delivering compliant building designs.
