This role offers significant long-term career development opportunities within a supportive and collaborative environment.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Arup is globally recognised as being at the forefront of the Data Centre and Mission Critical facility industry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><b><strong style=\"font-style: inherit;\">As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Arup, you will:<\/strong><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Lead the design and delivery of complex building services projects (science, industry, technology, etc.).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Develop innovative and sustainable mechanical solutions, incorporating net-zero carbon principles, embodied carbon analysis, and circular economy strategies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, clients, and other specialists, to ensure seamless project integration.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Oversee contractor coordination, ensuring successful delivery and commissioning of mechanical installations.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><b><strong style=\"font-style: inherit;\">Does this role inspire you?\u00a0<\/strong><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">We&#8217;re looking for someone passionate about sustainable building design and technically excellent engineering solutions. These are the essential skills and qualifications for the position:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Minimum 8 years of post-qualification design experience, most of which within a consultancy environment.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Previous design experience in data Centre projects.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Experience in the Irish market (or in the UK).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">We also value:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Chartered Engineer status (or near chartered) with a proven track record in delivering innovative mechanical engineering solutions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Strong knowledge of Irish building regulations (including BCAR) and relevant industry standards.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Experience managing contractors and overseeing on-site work, including commissioning and maintenance considerations.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">\u202f<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\"><b><strong style=\"font-style: inherit;\">Why Arup?<\/strong><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-weight: inherit;\">At Arup, we believe in rewarding our members for their contributions to our shared success.
