We place them at the heart of what we do, providing challenging opportunities to develop within a great team in a supportive environment that allows them to reach their full potential.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Scope of Role:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As a senior buyer, you\u2019ll manage the procurement of materials, goods, and services for assigned Projects, ensuring that you are optimising the cost, quality, and service. You\u2019ll drive added value through sourcing strategically, value engineering, innovation delivery and risk management. Deliver best in class performance through professional, competitive, and efficient buying processes, controls, and systems for the project(s). Mentoring and potentially leading junior procurement personnel.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities of the Role:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Responsible for Procure to Pay Process from Sourcing to Invoice Clearance.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct complex bid process for equipment, materials and \/ or services and do commercial evaluations.<\/li>\n<li>Create Procurement Schedules with project teams and planning function.<\/li>\n<li>Write Procurement Project Execution Plans<\/li>\n<li>Develop procurement strategy for core commodities.<\/li>\n<li>Based full time on site working closely with site commercial and construction teams.<\/li>\n<li>Secure the quality and timely delivery of goods and\/or services required for assigned projects.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure materials \/ services are procured on time and within the budget confinements.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the reallocation or disposal of excess materials.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the Authority Matrix is followed stringently.<\/li>\n<li>Create internal reports.<\/li>\n<li>Expected to work with only general supervision.<\/li>\n<li>Mentoring and potentially leading junior procurement personnel.<\/li>\n<li>Identify new supplier sources and recommend new sourcing strategies in assigned area.<\/li>\n<li>Co-ordinate the logistics of goods and\/services required for assigned projects.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct external reporting (Outside of Procurement Department)<\/li>\n<li>Assist in proposals support when required.<\/li>\n<li>Work with other buyers and Line Manager to eliminate wasteful processes.<\/li>\n<li>Perform other duties as assigned by Line Manager<\/li>\n<li>This role will be based in Frankfurt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Core Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Business Acumen<\/li>\n<li>Follow-up<\/li>\n<li>Information Monitoring<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining performance under pressure<\/li>\n<li>Negotiation<\/li>\n<li>Organizational Awareness<\/li>\n<li>Planning and Organizing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential Criteria for the Role:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must have construction Buying experience.<\/li>\n<li><em>Experience in a similar role within an engineering or construction company.<\/em><\/li>\n<li>A third level qualification preferably in supply chain or other related discipline.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.<\/li>\n<li>Strong negotiation skills<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 6 years\u2019 work experience in a similar role.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to prioritize workload efficiently.<\/li>\n<li>Results-driven with project management skills<\/li>\n<li>Previous ERP experience, SAP preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to Travel as required.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, and resilience \u2013 being able to adjust positively to situations that involve changing tasks and\/or location, shifting priorities or ambiguity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Desirable Criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A third level qualification preferably in supply chain, engineering, or other related discipline.<\/li>\n<li>Some Technical Knowledge of the Construction Industry would be an advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Experience of purchasing capital equipment in the Data Centre Industry.<\/li>\n<li>German Speaking<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mercury is the European leader in construction solutions.
