The successful candidate will be an integral part of the tendering team and work closely with the Bid Director on strategy and tender responses.<\/p>\n<p>The ideal candidate will require a good understanding of both Mechanical and Electrical engineering.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A third level qualification in Mechanical\/Electrical Engineering<\/li>\n<li>5 years + post qualification experience in a similar role<\/li>\n<li>Excellent IT skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong ability to collaborate and work part of a high-performance team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As a member of the project management team, you have the opportunity to influence safety culture onsite by demonstrating personal commitment, setting clear expectations, and effectively communicating safety policies.<\/p>\n<p>By consistently modelling safe behaviour, prioritising safety above productivity, and ensuring that all workers receive proper training and resources, you can foster an environment where safety is ingrained in every aspect of the construction process.<\/p>\n<p>Encouraging open communication, recognising and rewarding safe behaviour, and conducting regular inspections further reinforce the importance of safety. By taking these steps, you can help create a culture where safety is a shared value and a top priority for all stakeholders involved in the project.<\/p>\n<p>Reporting to the Group Technical Director, your key responsibilities for the role will include but will not be limited to the following:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Foster a team approach to delivering your projects\/tenders with your team<\/li>\n<li>Review of the design for design issues \/ improvements and to determine where local alternatives with better lead times could be applied<\/li>\n<li>Liaising with the supply chain during the bid process<\/li>\n<li>Review incoming design changes during the tender process<\/li>\n<li>Work with the MEPF contractors and offer technical support on MEPF systems<\/li>\n<li>Review alternative technical proposals from the MEPF contractors to determine if proposal would be acceptable to client prior to formal submission where the contractor is required \/ chooses to deviate from the specification \/ design<\/li>\n<li>Review and prepare value Engineering proposals as part of the tender process<\/li>\n<li>Assist the Planning Department in the preparation of the tender schedule<\/li>\n<li>Provide the OFCI Vendors with an insight into MEPF programme in order to align the Clients works affecting the efficient MEPF progress.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Primary objective of this role is to provide MEP Guidance and support to the Bid team on future tenders.
