Ensure alignment with the client’s and AECOM’s HSSE requirements, overseeing audits and continuous safety improvements.
Deliver projects within agreed budgets and implement cost-saving measures where applicable.
Execute terminal upgrade programmes with strict adherence to time, cost, and quality standards.

Actively participate in safety meetings, ensuring operational staff and contractors are fully aligned with safety messages and standards.
Share safety learnings with the Safety Manager to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Lead project meetings across all stages, from scoping and design reviews to handovers and post-completion audits.
Ensure compliance with APM Terminals’ operational standards while accommodating flexibility for evolving requirements.
Oversee supply chain partners to ensure adherence to agreed project execution plans and client expectations.

Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience in an operational role in construction or infrastructure projects.
Fluent Dutch and English language skills.
Demonstrated expertise in compliance and ethics.
Proven HSSE leadership experience.
Strong client focus and ability to manage client relationships effectively.
Recognized construction or engineering qualification (or equivalent experience).
Experience managing diverse operational teams in a high-pressure environment.
Track record of delivering complex projects within challenging timelines.
Valid driving license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Engineering degree or equivalent practical experience.
Management qualification or certification.
Experience with terminal, large scale or port infrastructure projects.
