BAM Construction is currently recruiting for a Building Services Project Manager to join the London Region.
This is a full-time role with a mix of office, site, and home hybrid working.

Your mission

The successful candidate should be experienced in managing the design, delivery, and commissioning of Building Services in a construction environment.

Preconstruction responsibilities will include working with the Tender and Preconstruction Teams to ensure the client’s requirements are met and any proposals reflect the needs of the contract. There will also be a requirement for vetting subcontractors’ tender returns for compliance against Employer’s Requirements (ERs).

Ensure that all Building Services needs are met and reflected in the building and fabric, with information provided in sufficient time.

Support Site Management and Health & Safety Teams with reviews of method statements and safe systems of work.

Manage the design, drawings, and approvals process in line with the programme.

Support Planning Teams and the Project Manager to ensure building services are fully integrated into the delivery programme.

Ensure projects comply with building regulations, planning conditions, specifications, and BREEAM requirements.

Establish and manage quality systems to ensure high standards and specifications are met; carry out quality control inspections using BIM 360.

Monitor progress against targets and assist the project management team in reviewing progress against programmes.

Chair weekly or bi-weekly rolling progress meetings with principal subcontractors (fully minuted).

Support commercial teams in reviewing any changes to contracts and valuations of work.

Manage the commissioning process and training to ensure all systems operate as designed, validation teams are satisfied, and building users are trained in operation.

Provide utility quotations and temporary site services.

Ensure ‘as-installed’ drawings and O&M Manuals are completed and issued.

Attend client progress and technical meetings as required.

Demonstrable experience within a similar role.

Technically qualified.

Good communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to communicate at all levels.

Works well within a team environment with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Excellent IT skills and experience in using Microsoft Office.
