BAM Site Solutions are looking to recruit an experienced Fire Service Technician. The position will involve a mixture of working on site and working out of our Wellingborough depot, with visits to our other offices in Morley, Allbrook and Kilsyth.

Your mission

• Support the Project Services Operations Manager with all aspects of fire protection requirements within our operations.
• Undertake Fire Extinguisher Servicing predominantly for BAM Construct & BAM Civils without supervision.
• Build and maintain good relationships with clients, demonstrating high standards of customer service that support the client’s culture.
• Work closely with clients to provide equipment and advice that support their business and operational requirements.
• Service, install, remove, and properly dispose of fire extinguishers or extinguisher parts as necessary.
• Support the team in installing and maintaining temporary wireless fire alarms – training will be provided as required.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in BAM Site Solution services.
• Support work-winning activities through the Sales Operation Team.
• Contribute to risk reviews and implementation of mitigating actions.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the team, clients, and key business stakeholders.
• Ensure that policies, processes, and procedures support the delivery of compliance.
• Maintain BAFE qualification and working knowledge of BS5306, and hold a Fire Extinguisher Training Certificate (4-day course covering BS5306 parts 3 & 8) from an accredited body.
• Certification to assess fire doors and experience in fire alarm installation/maintenance would be an advantage.
• Deliver company values and handle any customer complaints professionally to ensure satisfactory closure.
• Liaise with and advise clients and key UK & Ireland stakeholders to deliver a collaborative and professional service.
• Support BAM’s Health, Safety, and Climate initiatives by actively contributing to continual improvement.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
• Be confident, methodical, and of smart disposition.
• Be physically capable of carrying/lifting fire extinguishers, tools, and equipment as required.
• Be willing to travel extensively, with occasional nights away.
