Your Mission
As a Mechanical Package Manager, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of mechanical works within the project. Your responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring all works are procured, planned, and executed safely, in full compliance with project requirements and UK legislation.
• Reviewing designs with the design teams and client to ensure they are optimised for safe and efficient construction, compliant with standards and contractual obligations.
• Managing robust change control processes, as well as risk and opportunity management across your package of works.
• Providing accurate and timely updates to the project management team, supporting both site progress monitoring and financial reporting.
• Managing the successful completion of the project or assigned area in line with quality, time, and cost targets, ensuring compliance with internal, client, and statutory requirements.
• Providing leadership and direction to project team members within your control, setting clear objectives, offering feedback, and driving high performance.
• Contributing to the identification and mitigation of project risks and enhancement of opportunities, taking ownership of those within your area of responsibility.
• Understanding budgets, commercial priorities, and project goals, making sound, evidence-based decisions and managing workload effectively to align with project needs.
• Maintaining accurate project documentation and records.
• Ensuring that all necessary mechanical works appointments are made by the authorising engineer in accordance with project protocols.

Who Are We Looking For?

• Academic qualification in a related discipline — HNC, BSc, MSc, BEng, or MEng.
• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
• Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within the nuclear or defence sectors.
• CSCS (White PQP/AQP) card.
