As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the following:

Advise on contractual matters – both general and project-specific

Process contractual claims and maintain all associated records

Identify opportunities to maximise revenue, reduce cost, and investigate any losses

Assist with project cash management
-
Advise and support the team with project correspondence
-
Negotiate and agree terms with subcontractors
-
Negotiate subcontract and supplier prices and terms
-
Ensure final accounts are closed in a timely manner
-
Draft commercial and contractual correspondence promptly and accurately
-
Prepare subcontract and supplier documentation
-
Prepare and review monthly cost reports
-
Review and update risk registers, variation trackers, and extension of time tracker sheets monthly, ensuring inclusion within reports
-
Negotiate subcontractor and supplier final accounts
-
Measure, price, and manage variations
-
Negotiate variations with the client, quantity surveyor, and subcontractors

What do you bring to the role?
-
Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
-
Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor role on medium or large-scale construction projects
-
Ability to work effectively on large-scale, high headcount construction sites and manage subcontractors
-
Ability to liaise with the Commercial Manager and Contracts Manager, including attendance at client and internal meetings
-
Strong time management and organisational skills
-
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
-
Strong understanding of the construction industry and on-site operations
-
Ability to use time productively, maximise efficiency, and meet challenging work goals
