Your mission
Reporting to the Senior Site Manager or Project Manager, you will play a key role in managing all on-site construction activities. You will be expected to demonstrate a clear understanding of the construction management process, effectively manage subcontractors, and maintain exceptional standards in safety, quality, and environmental performance.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Implementing the Project Management Plan, including all site procedures, practices, and records.
Ensuring appropriate quality records are produced, monitored, and maintained to verify compliance with project specifications.
Promoting and ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety Management Plan and BAM Operating Procedures.
Setting up and monitoring handover schedules, keys, spares, and completion documentation.
Ensuring environmental procedures are fully implemented on site.
Maintaining accurate site diaries, including subcontractor attendance, labour allocation, and progress records.
Managing direct and subcontract labour, including the keeping of records and allocation sheets.
Providing advice and input on buildability and technical issues to support the project team.
What do you bring to the role?
Proven experience delivering high-quality construction projects.
Strong technical and practical construction knowledge, ideally across a variety of project types.
A relevant Health & Safety qualification, such as SMSTS, with a proven ability to manage site safety effectively.
Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
Confident use of IT systems and digital construction tools.
Self-motivated, proactive, and organised approach to managing work.
Qualification in HNC/Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent — or a strong trade background.
Full UK driving licence.
