Bechtel and Westinghouse Electric Company have partnered to deliver the first AP1000 nuclear power reactors in Poland for our customer, the Polish Entity Polskie Elektrownie Jadrowe (PEJ). Bechtel will be the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor for the project. As the EPC, our responsibilities will include providing the design for the Turbine Island and Balance of Plant as well as the construction of the entire facility.

Position Overview:
This contract position (3-6months) is for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer who will perform geotechnical activities for the Poland AP1000 Project at the project site in Lubiatowo, Poland. The successful candidate will report to Bechtel’s lead field geotechnical engineer/geologist or their designee. The successful candidate must have strong teamwork skills, proven problem-solving abilities, a can-do attitude, and a commitment to quality. The successful candidate will be expected to provide full time support of subsurface investigation activities at the site throughout the duration of the subsurface investigation.
Responsibilities:
The work will require observing field work including drilling, sampling and field testing activities, attending meetings and coordinating with other geotechnical engineers/geologists and/or client engineers in a team environment. Responsibilities include the scope described below.
