Bechtel and Westinghouse Electric Company have partnered to deliver the first nuclear power reactors in Poland for our customer, the Polish Entity Polskie Elektrownie Jadrowe (PEJ). Bechtel will be the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor for the project. As the EPC, our responsibilities will include providing the design for the Turbine Island and Balance of Plant as well as the construction of the entire facility. Job Summary
This position will be responsible for providing hydraulic and hydrologic (H&H) engineering support to the project and executing specialized activities during the power plant licensing and engineering phases. This position has the technical responsibility of review and interpretation of nuclear licensing regulations and permitting requirements related to H&H analysis and design. Other main responsibilities include origination and/or checking of H&H calculations, preparation of licensing documents, preparation of reports, preparation of design documents such as specifications and design sketches, review of vendor submittals, etc. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in hydrologic analysis and hydraulic design of plant systems and structures and capable of developing nuclear licensing and design documents that incorporate H&H engineering design. The position will report to the H&H Lead on the Project and will be required to coordinate with on- and off-project H&H engineers, and project staff from other disciplines and functions in the development of licensing and design documents. In addition, it will be required that the candidate has excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and embrace Bechtel’s diversity & inclusion, leadership, quality, and safety values. The position will be based in Warsaw, Poland. Work may require short-term travel to project site and other locations

Requires M.S. degree in civil engineering or a related field specializing hydraulic or hydrologic engineering with 10-12 years of relevant work experience, or a Ph.D. in civil engineering or a related field specializing hydraulic or hydrologic engineering with 8-10 years of relevant work experience
