Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager – Grid to lead medium to large-scale grid and substation projects across the EMEA region. You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, coordinate third-party contractors, oversee all project phases, and ensure cost, schedule, and quality objectives are met.

This role is ideal for a results-driven professional with proven leadership in grid or substation projects and a strong understanding of technical, commercial, and operational aspects of complex energy projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage risks related to cost, schedule, and quality across the full project lifecycle
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, safety standards, and client expectations
• Oversee day-to-day project execution, including financial metrics, planning, scheduling, and staffing
• Coordinate technical requirements for grid and substation projects
• Support business development by obtaining new or repeat business and assisting in contract negotiations

Management Responsibilities

• Lead project teams comprising multi-discipline professionals
• Coordinate activities of all third-party companies contributing to project delivery
• Provide direction, mentorship, and performance oversight for team members

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Significant experience managing grid and/or substation projects in the UK and EMEA region
• Proven track record leading multi-discipline project teams
• Experienced in coordinating multiple contractors and stakeholders
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding (background checks, drug screening, motor vehicle records)

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
• Experience in engineering consultancy environments
• Exposure to data centre design, EV charging infrastructure, or BESS projects

Work Environment / Physical Demands

• Typical office and construction environments
• Possible exposure to extreme weather, high noise, electrical hazards, scaffolding, chemicals, and poor ventilation
• Physical requirements may include sitting, walking, reading, writing, keyboarding, driving, lifting/carrying up to 40 lbs, reaching, stooping, crouching, bending, and standing for extended periods
