At Alchemia, we’re looking for a Systems Engineer who sees the vessel as a whole—not just one component. You understand how engines rely on fuel systems, how power flows into propulsion, and how automation interfaces with navigation and safety. You’ll design, develop, and supervise technical systems for vessels, integrating structural, mechanical, electrical, automation, radio-navigation, and onboard equipment systems.

Key Accountabilities

• Design and supervise structural, mechanical, electrical, automation, radio-navigation, onboard equipment, and interior systems, ensuring compliance with client requirements, classification regulations, and quality standards.
• Create multidisciplinary design solutions for complex challenges, integrating knowledge from multiple engineering fields and interpreting client and classification requirements.
• Solve interdisciplinary engineering problems, assess technical risks, and optimize solutions for cost, functionality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Perform, supervise, and verify design calculations, including class compliance, mass, power and heat balances, stability, and structural analyses.
• Develop and approve functional descriptions, technical reports, lists, registers, and 3D models of mechanical, electrical, and structural systems.
• Prepare test plans (FAT, HAT, SAT) and support verification activities.

Skills & Experience

• Higher technical education (preferred: shipbuilding, marine engineering, mechanical engineering).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in ship or offshore systems projects.
• Broad knowledge of CAD/CAE tools and project planning software (e.g., MS Project).
• Ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems independently.
• Openness to learning beyond core areas and keeping up-to-date with technical innovations.
• Proficient in English (B2 level written and verbal).
