At Dornan we are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Manager to work in Atherstone.
Your day to day will include:
Daily management of the maintenance function of the facility including personnel involved in maintenance and contract staff, while adhering to all relevant legislation and site procedures.
Planning of PPM schedules, reviewing plant defects, develop proposals for modifications where appropriate to maintain or improve plant reliability and availability.
Responsible for ensuring that all maintenance activities are correctly planned, scheduled and recorded in the CMMS and executed correctly by the site maintenance teams/assigned contractors.
Responsible for the planning and overseeing maintenance outages, including scope and specification of work, safety, control and interfaces between all working parties.
Assist with the preparation of the site maintenance budget proposals and work within approved budgets.
Propose modifications as appropriate to optimise efficiency and cost effectiveness. Ensuring that the relevant procedures and documentation is in place to maintain safe systems of work for employees and contractors.
Liaise with the Operations team to ensure that the maintenance function is responsive to the overall needs of the business.
Ensure compliance with the company’s Health and Safety and Environmental Management systems and with all relevant legislation.
Manage service agreements, identify new local suppliers and resources to support the business.Manage and account for the site held spare parts and stock control.
Assist with the Monthly Operations and Maintenance Report that is issued to our client and any generate other required maintenance reports that are requested.
Deputise when required for the Plant Manager/Operations Manager in case of their absence.
Be contactable out of hours by telephone and attend site during emergency situations/plant breakdown as the situation dictates.
What we are looking for:
Detailed knowledge of the Maintenance Manager role in Power Generation Industry/heavy industrial processes.
Experience in planning maintenance operations.
Have detailed knowledge of mechanical/electrical machinery and systems to effectively plan and advise the site maintenance team on repair strategies.
Commercial understanding, managing maintenance budgets and adhering to contractual documentation.
Complying with Health, Safety and Environmental systems & LegislationExperience with Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) – scheduling maintenance activities, accurate service record logging.
Detailed knowledge of working to statutory regulation such as PSSR, LOLER, PUWER & CDM regulations
