The Tunnel Expert will provide technical expertise and guidance, ensuring that all tunnel projects adhere to the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance within the local context. The expert will contribute to Egis’s technical excellence and visibility among clients and prospects, engage in innovative practices, and share knowledge within the Group.

About the Role

• Provide technical leadership and expertise in the planning, design, and construction of tunnels for infrastructure projects, including roads, highways, and bridges
• Lead the development and implementation of tunnel design concepts, methodologies, and solutions, ensuring compliance with project requirements, codes, and standards
• Collaborate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and specifications for tunnel design and construction
• Lead the preparation and review of tunnel design documents, including drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical reports, ensuring accuracy and quality
• Provide technical guidance and support to project managers, engineers, and other team members throughout the project lifecycle, including tendering, procurement, and construction phases
• Conduct technical reviews and inspections of tunnel construction activities, materials, and equipment to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards
• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in tunnel design, construction, and maintenance, incorporating new methodologies and tools into project delivery processes

What Do We Need From You

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in tunnel engineering and construction, with a focus on infrastructure projects
• Proven track record of successful tunnel projects, including design, construction, and maintenance phases
• Strong technical expertise in tunnel engineering, geotechnical engineering, and structural engineering principles and practices
• Proficiency in spoken and written English (minimum B2 level)
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
