High Voltage Elec­trical Systems Engineer

Always finding the right experts for every challenge – that’s our goal at FERCHAU, which is why we are looking for you, an experienced High Voltage Electrical Systems Engineer to join a large EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) project focused on offshore topside and electrification. The successful candidate will be joining a key greenfield and integration project, with the opportunity to enhance their skills in electrical systems engineering.

• Design and define solutions and strategies for electrical systems across various project stages, including land cables, subsea cables, high-voltage equipment in onshore and offshore substations, as well as powering other offshore platforms and grid connections
• Responsible for the Main Power Supply Package Specification, developing the technical and functional requirements for high and low voltage suppliers to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project requirements
• Manage the Electrical System Infrastructure (ESI) package from the development phase to execution, covering detailed engineering, manufacturing, logistics, installation, contract management, and handover to operations
• Develop and support the design of electrical philosophies, strategies, topologies, single-line diagrams, load lists, system descriptions, PMS/PDCS systems, and solutions for electrical systems
• Oversee calculations, analyses, and assessments of electrical systems

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• FSE course certification
• Ex course certification
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering
• Solid knowledge of electrical system analysis and transmission systems
• Experience in offshore electrification projects
• Proven experience in conceptual and detailed engineering for large-scale projects
• Familiarity with standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, ISO, DNV, and IEC
• Proficient in English communication, both verbal and written
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment, with a cooperative attitude
• A team player with the ability to work independently as well
• Systematic and precise, with high commitment to meeting deadlines and quality standards
• Proactive mindset, eager to share knowledge and experiences with others
