Senior Elec­trical Cable Engineer

Always finding the right experts for every challenge – that’s our goal at FERCHAU, which is why we are looking for you, an experienced Senior Electrical Cable Engineer to join a large EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation) onshore project. You will design and route electrical cables within complex project frameworks.

• Perform cable input, design, and routing for electrical cables
• Cable routing in the project database – Cabsys (EIS)
• Verification of EIT (Electrical, Instrumentation, and Telecommunications) nodal segments
• Release of cables according to the project schedule
• Input construction feedback
• Utilize NavisWorks (3D model viewer) or E3D for cable routing design
• Define termination documentation references for cables from/to tags
• Interface with other disciplines, suppliers, and clients

• Bachelor’s degree or Technical College education combined with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in onshore and offshore facilities
• Extensive experience and deep knowledge of electrical and cable design according to relevant standards such as NORSOK and IEC
• Ex course (to be renewed every 5 years); if the candidate does not have an Ex-certificate, the course must be taken as soon as possible after starting work
• FSE course certification
• Proficiency in English, both oral and written
• Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate in a multicultural team environment
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Systematic and precise, with strong commitment to meeting deadlines and quality standards
• Proactive attitude, eager to seek advice and share own experiences with others
