As a Technical Buyer, you will play a key role in sourcing, evaluating, and procuring technical equipment, components, and services that support our projects and assets. You will ensure that all procurement activities meet technical, operational, and regulatory requirements while optimizing cost and efficiency.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing technical equipment, components, and services for various projects and assets (e.g., spare parts and consumables for marine assets, survey equipment, IT hardware, etc.).
- Reviewing technical specifications and collaborating with other departments to ensure procurement aligns with project and operational requirements.
- Negotiating pricing, delivery schedules, and contractual terms with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Coordinating with logistics teams to manage transportation and timely delivery of materials to offshore or other project locations.
- Monitoring market trends, identifying potential supply chain risks, and recommending process improvements.
- Ensuring all procurement activities comply with company policies, objectives, and regulatory standards.
- Managing supplier relationships, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with QHSSE standards.
What do we expect from you?
- A degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong technical understanding, with the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of offshore logistics and operations is considered a strong advantage.
