Commissioning Engineer HVDC

Responsibilities:

• Technically flawless, timely, and cost-effective execution of the commissioning (IBS) of HVDC systems on-site

• Integration testing and functional checks of HVDC control technology (C&P hardware and software) in the company test center

• Creation and execution of test procedures and test programs for the converter and pole control systems, including the necessary documentation

• Planning, conducting, and evaluating factory tests (acceptance tests) at subcontractors

• Supporting the commissioning management in quality, risk, and claim management

• Participation in improvement programs (e.g., Lean, reviews, and lessons learned)

Qualifications:

• Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, or comparable education/qualification

• Knowledge in the field of project planning and testing using MATLAB/SIMULINK, Siemens SIMATIC TDC/S7, CFC would be advantageous

• Experience in HVDC systems (control, regulation, measurement, protection, and communication systems) is a plus

• Good knowledge of converter technology, high-voltage technology, and/or control engineering, ideally in the field of HVDC technology

• Good knowledge of German and English

• Willingness to travel worldwide and undertake predominantly long-term assignments at construction sites both domestically and abroad, and optionally at offshore platforms
