Your role in the story

During your watch you are responsible for the safe and efficient inspection as well as maintenance of machinery and equipment in engine room spaces, accommodation, galley, deck and project related equipment and lifesaving equipment. You report defects and malfunctioning of systems, circuits, equipment and interrupt, without any hesitation, unsafe activities or conditions and report these. Furthermore, you keep the engine room book updated, perform toolboxes, ensure a proper job and shift handover. Lastly you supervise the technical (fleet) personnel on watch as well as new technical personnel and trainees.

Key ingredients for success

• This position requires an Engineer with a vocational or bachelor maritime degree (MAROF or equivalent)
• 2–5 years of experience as Engineer onboard an offshore or DP vessel
• Strong problem-solving mindset and sense of responsibility
• Excellent command of English, both spoken and written
• Proactive, safety-driven, and results-oriented attitude
• Team player with the flexibility to work in dynamic offshore conditions

The application process consists of two interviews, an online assessment, and an employment offer.

• The first interview will be conducted via Microsoft Teams with the Chief Engineer and Recruiter, giving you the opportunity to learn more about the technical aspects of the role and life on board our Tugs.
• The second interview will take place at our office in Leiden, where you’ll meet additional team members and get a better feel for our culture and working environment.
