To support ongoing growth in our ETCS On board Unit Retro fit portfolio we have an opening in our Systems Engineering job family for a Systems Engineer. This is your chance to work on projects that redefine rail safety and performance across the UK.
As a Systems Engineer in the ETCS OBU portfolio, you will get the opportunity to work on complex, high-profile projects that push the boundaries of rail technology and are responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining systems and solutions that meet the needs of our clients and users within the Main Line Rail domain. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, implement solutions, and ensure the scalability, testability, reliability, and performance of our products and solutions.
On the ETCS OBU portfolio, you will work across a range of projects at different stages of the engineering lifecycle-from initial bids through to final project close-out. Fitting ETCS systems to existing rolling stock is a complex engineering challenge, and your railway expertise will be key to ensuring robust solutions. From design through to placing units into service, you will apply best engineering practices to deliver safe, compliant, and high-quality outcomes.
This is a hybrid role working a minimum of two days per week from our site in the office, which may be Birmingham or London depending on the selected candidates location
