As Lead Engineer Instrumentation at Iv, you ensure that complex offshore installations have a flawless understanding of what is happening. Thanks to the work of the Instrumentation department, sensors, signals and systems operate reliably, even under extreme conditions. This applies to offshore wind platforms such as Sofia HVDC, as well as innovative hydrogen solutions like PosHYdon.

You contribute to the design, assess technical documentation and supervise the quotation process. You work closely with other disciplines, coordinate with suppliers and consult with the client. Quality and safety are always paramount. You continuously evaluate the work delivered and actively look for improvements. You take responsibility—not only for your own work, but also for your team.

As a lead engineer, you are responsible for leading the instrumentation discipline within projects in the offshore and energy market. You coach colleagues, maintain overview and act decisively when the situation demands it. You work in accordance with applicable standards and regulations, are familiar with the requirements of classification societies and know when action is required. Your approach is practical, clear and always focused on technical content.

What do we expect from you?

We expect you to have:

• a completed higher professional (HBO) or university (WO) degree in a technical field
• at least 10 years of relevant work experience, including several years in a lead engineer role
• familiarity with classification society rules and design codes
• experience with project-based work in multidisciplinary teams
• a good command of both Dutch and English
