Transmission & Distribution 
With the growing demand for renewable energy, your work will help ensure clean energy reaches homes, businesses, and even international markets through interconnectors to Europe. You’ll be directly involved in the design of critical infrastructure that supports the transmission of low-carbon energy.

Thermal Generation  

Support the evolution of thermal energy assets to meet modern demands with efficiency and sustainability. You’ll help optimise performance, reduce emissions, and ensure operational excellence across diverse technologies. As part of our teams, you will work closely with our experts to provide our clients high-value technical support through all phases of development.

 

Transport:  
Bridges and Civil Structures 

Join our Bridges and Civil Structures teams and contribute to innovative projects ranging from small bespoke designs to major global infrastructure. You’ll work on sustainable bridge design, advanced structural analysis, and emerging technologies, while learning from industry leaders and helping shape the future of infrastructure.

Join our Tunnels team and become part of a welcoming, supportive environment that prioritises your growth. You’ll work on diverse tunnelling projects in our transport sector, with opportunities to contribute to broader infrastructure initiatives. Alongside gaining strong technical experience, you’ll also develop skills in project and design management, supported by a knowledgeable team offering valuable mentorship throughout your career journey.

Join our Water Division, a centre of excellence tackling climate change, ageing infrastructure, and population growth. You’ll contribute to safe, sustainable water systems for generations to come. You will be involved in projects to design pipelines, water and wastewater treatment facilities through feasibility, outline, and detailed stages.

To be eligible for this opportunity, you will have less than 12 months’ relevant experience (excluding placements) and have a bachelors / masters degree (obtained no earlier than 2024) or expected to achieve one of the following degree disciplines:

•  Civil Engineering

• Structural Engineering

• Geotechnical Engineering

For some of our opportunities, a master’s degree is essential – this is reflected in the list of opportunities in the application form.

Please note candidates must be able to speak both fluent Spanish and English to be eligible for these opportunities.In your application, you should aim to demonstrate your genuine interest in both the opportunity and in joining Mott MacDonald. You can do this by highlighting any relevant experience or interests – such as modules you’ve studied, previous work experience, or any research you’ve undertaken about our company, values, and projects.
